Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dazzles at Dubai World Cup
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan led the fashion and glamour stakes at the Dubai World Cup which she attended over the weekend where she presented the award for the Most Elegant Dressed Lady at the event. Aishwarya was present as the Brand Ambassador of watch company Longines which she has been part of for the last 13 yrs. At the event she was the perfect picture of style and elegance keeping in with the Longines tag line ' Elegance is an attitude". During the Most Elegant Lady presentation ceremony, which Aishwarya presented alongside Juan Carlos Capelli, Vice President and Head of International Marketing at Longines, she said: "I am delighted to be here and see such finely dressed women in their hats and beautiful dresses". Draped in bright red traditional outfit by Indian designer Sabyasachi, Aishwarya greeted the world in a very 'Miss World' style - with NAMASTE and had the crowds clapping in excitement.Her suit studded with shimmering gold, complimented the golden sandals on her feet. The event was attended by over 50,000 people. During the day, Aishwarya visited a newly opened Longines store in the hotel she was staying and later met various media houses for interviews from different countries including Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, India etc.

Oh God give the woman a break!! If Longines had a problem with her they would have told her!! We are lucky that they have more ethics towards women than a lot of people commenting here!!

Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors.
Kudos to Aish & Longines for embracing all sizes -- it will help a whole world of women struggling with eating disorders to come to the reality that beauty is really about embracing who you are in the size you are comfortable with. Kudos.
brown faced in real life and in pictures for Loreal she tries to deceive us by showing she has white skin. Karishma kapoor has white skin but Aishwarya I dont know why she lies she does not have white skin!

Because even if it's "just watches," they still photograph a model's face and body. Look at all of Aish's Longines shots - how many of them are just of her hands?
Hair and makeup look great! The outfit is ok as well (nice color on her), but it's not suitable for the event. She's a model and making an appearance for a luxury watch brand. In the past, when she's made appearances for Longines, she's worn maxi dresses, skirt-suits, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, even suits. A loose fitting anarkali does nothing for her, and is probably more suited for a visit to the mandir! I think a curve-hugging cocktail dress or long back dress would've been more suitable given the occassion. She looks nice, but it's more like an everyday kinda nice. Not a glamourous model, which she's being paid to be. I would love to see her in a gown or just something better fitted, it'd looks fabulous on her!

Have u seen the french or English models and actresses?? They would have had to custom make a watch to fit ash's fat hands.
After seeing celebrated beauty queens Aishwarya, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra fat the former/s from post preggers and the latter from the fat suit I can safely say that Beauty Queens look good only courtesy their hot bods. Tons of cosmetic surgeries disfigure their natural beauty on their face and one has to block out the numerous face jobs and notice only their perfected hot bods to call them beautiful.
The average desi women is much more beautiful even fat and fatter. A Vidya Balan looks hot fat. Not these beauty queens. God works in mysterious ways.

Love the hair - loose waves look lovely. I think her hair looks a little better a shade or two darker in brown. Make up done nicely as well....you can tell she's wearing it, but it's not overwhelming. But if she's going back to modeling and endorsements, then she should lose some weight.

If Longines is paying her to make appearances, then it's for work, and she should lose the weight. If you're getting paid millions, there's no excuse for looking like this. If she were just staying at home, then it wouldn't matter.

Aishwarya's fake accent. I'm quite sick of it. If you watch them on KWK (I forget the season but Aishwarya and Abhishek are both wearing all black), she is attempting to fake her accent quite well but at one point "Oh HALLOOO" comes out in her real accent. Aishwarya, it is okay to talk in your normal accent rather than faking one which is quite evident to viewers. Not everyone must have an American/Canadian accent.
agree,what's wrong with an indian accent? you don't see stars like jackie chan or salam hayek faking an american or british accent and they are more succesful in hollywood then aishwarya rai or that slumdog bimbo freida pinto, who acts in movies for 5 minutes and acts like some big hot-shot or something.
