French government honours Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan receives the honour bestowed to her by the French government, at the French Embassy. Seen in the pictures is her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, husband Abhishek Bachchan, and in-laws Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan. Her parents Vrinda and Krishnaraj Rai and brother Aditya Rai were also presnt. Here is more information on the honour Aishwarya received - Mr. Francois Richier, Ambassador of France to India, on behalf of the French authorities conferred the honour of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters on the distinguished actor Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This prestigious distinction comes in recognition of her invaluable contribution to the world of cinema an the development of Indo-French cooperation in cinema, art, and culture. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is known to the world audiences for her performance in numerous Hindi and Indian language films, as well as international ones. Recipient of several Indian film awards, she was also the youngest actress to receive the Padma Shri. 2002 witnessed her remarkable performance in Devdas, which as an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and the most successful Indian movie in France. She was also the first Indian actress to be a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.

aishwarya owes to be known in france to loreal
loreal contributed her so much without that brands organization no one in france would care about her but loreal promoted her well with ads,talk shows arranged during cannes and also provided her with jury member tag so loreal made her known in france for europeans seeing a lady with this looks with brown skin and indian looks its inetersting so her looks a bit appealing however it s well know out there in europe she is really talentless indeed thats why she havent been able to gone further other than modelling for brands or taking part in events

seriously. aishwarya owes her life to her looks. every piece of name, fame and glory she has received can only be attributed to her looks. sure she works hard....but so do others. the fact that her looks have taken her so far; have given her so many recognitions that others probably deserve more than her - it truly astounds me. what fate! aishwarya hasn't done anything for this film industry through her "talent" - she just stands there looking good, and that gets appreciated LIKE THIS? it actually kinda annoys me - even after all these years, she is STILL a mediocre actress who can never give us a completely natural performance. what has she done that's so special for cinema? she stars in movies....WELL SO DO OTHER ACTORS! its not like she produced movies or brought new talents into the industry...WHAT HAS SHE DONE THAT ANOTHER ACTOR HASN'T (apart from looking really good and getting noticed for it)???

she deserves this title, i'm french, and i can say that she helps to promote indian cinema, in my country and in Europe! She has several films which were in our cinemas, and her name is a real link with Bollywood in my country, so this title seems legit!! :) and this title is french so with all the meaning that it has, she deserve it far all the reasons i said!

she and her fans act like her promoting bollywood abroad was a great social service done out of the goodness of her heart. wake up and smell the coffee........she did it for her own personal gain. There were some really bad years for her and she desperately needed to branch out and build bridges elsewhere hence creating a fresh branding of herself abroad which she could do quickly and easily using her 'global beauty' tag. she is a brilliant businesswoman and skilled at promoting brand Aishwarya. praise her for THAT. bollywood never needed her. if she was truly powerful and important pre-bachan bahu status then she would not have been so easily tossed aside by the industry during those bad years. they really treated her like dirt back then, but today no industry member dares to mess with her because she is amitabh bachans daughter-in-law. so its a big win for her but she is still a paper tiger.

For the jealous bitter people who is going on about how she can't act, everyone knows she CAN act!she has filmfare awards and many other awards to prove her acting abilities AND her beauty and talent are equally famous around the world ! French government don't hand out these awards like candy ! The other people to get this award is Meryl Streep, George Clooney and SRK! They give this to people who excelled in their field of work! If you can't be happy for her than eat her dust!
