The fashion designer, social activist and politician Shaina will question Ash on several burning subjects. Aishwarya talks about her vision for the country and issues like beauty pageants, scams in the country and unity within the film industry. Anon below who says Kajol cant act etc etc..hey I agree with you. Most of these people are overhyped. On the other hand in Hollywood they agreeTom Cruise is not a great actor. He is commercially successful and thats a fine quality to have if u are in films. But the majority of hollywood nowadays is based on talent. There are some really ordinary looking actors/ actresses doing lead roles simply coz they are talented.
If u r giving d surname more importance wat else can happen... This ash woman was never an actor... She just cannot act... Y doesnt d industry knw tat, forget bout d common man in india... ASH : I have not promised anything like that. After I was crowned Miss World, I engaged in charity work and collected money for various hospitals and kids who needed health care.

Just watch the videos of the final Question of miss world 1994 , she tries to be more kind n loving than Mother Theresa. She says - She would love people irrespective of cast creed and race, and that she will always be there for the people.
When has she been there for the people of her country??????????? terrorist attacks in mumbai? floods? earthquakes? has this woman ever atleast made a statment on any of these ocassions?All she does is go to Cannes every year and POUT for the cameras. try and look like a white. its a pity that selfish and talentless people like her get so much attention just bcoz of looks.

Dont get me wrong India has got alot of talent in the country but I think for aish to compare India with U.S, Britain, Europe, etc. and say it is ahead of all that...STUPID ANSWER! I luv all of Aishwarya's answers ,she seems so calm and relaxed .she is one actress that has accomplished every thing & more .I think she is special & blessed by God in everything she does .I truly admire her for her outer beauty & the person she is on the inside .she never praises herself I guess she does not have when all her fans praise her <3<3 =)

to the person who commented on Hollywood actors having talent. i think you are delusional. There are a few exceptions, but MAJORITY are getting by with on screen charisma and good looks. Take a look at Tom Cruise.. he acts the same in movies as in real life. the reason why they look like they can act is because the plots and the direction of american movies are WAY better than hindi cinema. I bet if the same were to hold true for indian cinema, many people will be blinded into thinking hindi actors and actresses can act too.
I am NOT an Aish fan, but I can see the TRUTH. none of the hindi actors/actresses can act. The whole industry is filled with children of pasttime actors... seriously in a country as big as india... if there was talent residing in people, how is it possible that only the children got blessed with it? it's ridiculous. if you are a american film critic, you must be critiquing on free for all american movie blogs.
KAJOL cannot act. she is the same character in her movies as in her real life, ie, That annoying overly talkative chirpy bubbly person. But let me add to this by saying that this statement is not saying that Kajol can't act and Aish can. My point is that majority of them can't act (Aish and overly hyped Kajol either)
As to the awards they recieve, filmfare and all those are a bunch of hype. they create categories to present to people, to make sure no one is missed. Just the other day I was watching Koffee with Karan, and he was giving away funny awards for best performances on his show. He had film critics, and other media critics on his show. On one of the awards 3 of the 4 judges wanted to give Kareena an award for smething, because she hadn;t gotten one yet. So the 4th critic jumped in and said something like... this isn't filmfare or something, where we are handing out awards cause so and so didn't get one , and we want to make everyone happy. So that's the indian awards for you. Anyone who thinks they are even worth a dime is a fool.

first, i must say that i did leave a positive comment.
second, i have to confront those of you who claim that Aishwarya is a good actor, at the standards of Hollywood: i am sorry but you are delusional! she is not a good actor, she is just passable at times. and, yes, i have seen the overrated Guzaarish, which i felt was just horrible. also, you are right that most of Bollywood can't act/overact, but there are exceptions like Kajol (yes, she can act unlike you suggest -this has already been established by everyone not just idiotic blind Ash fans like yourself), Rani (same as Kajol), Vidya, etc. and, if you compare Ash to these wonderful ladies, it is clear that Aishwarya is best suited for modeling and not acting, which she clearly lacks talent in. also, as an American film critic myself, your assessment of Hollywood is just plain stupid: a prerequisite here to enter the biz is talent and 95% of the actors on the big screen have this. plain and simple. the small percent that don't usually have claimed fame elsewhere (ex. musicians, rock stars, etc.) and want to act because producers will let them because they draw audiences in.

to the person who commented she can't act... seriously you need to take a look at 95% of the bollywood or hollywood actors, none of them can act. When they portray "realistic" acting, you need to take a look closely and see that they are just behaving on camera as their own personality is, and when you act the way you normally are in your real life, that is not called acting. Take salman khan for example, the way he behaves on his game show is an exact replica of his "acting" on camera. Take Kajol for example. She is a bubbly person, and that is what we see on camera. Her quiet persona on camera is probably her personality in real life (cause one can't be bubbly 24/7, right. I can go on and on.
So the moral of the story is that none of these "actors" can really act... so let's look beyond that ... and take the films as what they are... a fun diversion. We tend to like people on screen for who they are in real life... meaning, their own personality/charisma shines through on camera... and somehow that attract us.
So Aish is one example, her beauty attracts people, for salman, it's his looks and his cute charm, for shah rukh, it's his charisma, for hrithik, his looks and body/dancing, for abhishek, it's his connection with amit, and the audience is seeking for some connection to his father, and all the actor kids, the same holds true - meaning people are enthralled with the idea that they are so and so's kids.
END OF STORY. There are very rare "actors" out there , and I mean even in hollywood. It's their charisma that puts and keeps them on screen, NOT their acting.
