Before M.A.C, L'Óreal & Maybelline came to India, the makeup was cringeworthy.
Rekha also used to dip her face in white powder intially when she started to compete with other actresses and keep up with bollywood standard of beauty i.e. fair = beautiful. It was amitabh who groomed her on dressing , makeup. then she went to UK and did a course in makeup and learnt that makeup is about enhancing ur features and covering flaws, not trying to become a white person if you are not one.
Wow she has been working her way up to the top using famous people right from her entry into bollywood. Hung around with them (Rani, Karisma, Salman) to be spotted and when she achieved her goal, moved on and back bites them all. Don't see her hanging out with them or being in talking terms with them now!!!and of course its all their fault for breaking away from her...shes the super sweet and loving, caring, innocent person that she still is.
Too much of white make up
She looks so much better in these pictures than she does now. It's obvious that she's bleached her skin and dyed her hair and eyebrows. She's also gotten plastic surgery - her facial structure has changed drastically over the years. She's gotten cheek implants, brow life, nose job, and jaw line correction. She's far from natural.

She WAS very beautiful but she never got her make up right. Look at Rekha's flawless make up next to hers.
I think if Ash worked out seriously and toned up her body and scrubbed off the pancake and got rid of the bling bling she would still look beautiful. But it's not going to happen because once you have given birth the body just changes.
karishma looks gorgeous.. n with such ease... let's face it, r u gonna stand and make comparative analysis about features when you meet someone or get immediately attracted to someone who is fair, sweet looking and attractive? ash is good looking but doesn't luk sweet, or approachable.. she luks proud
The 9th picture where she looks really dark is around Devdas time or there is a similar picture where she looks just as dark standing with SRK so yeah she has lightened her skin because now even when she gets really really tan her tone is completely different .... It's ok if you're lightening your skin to look fairer of course she clearly looks like a witch with dusky skin and I'm sure if she came in with her skin this dusky she wouldn't be where she is not even near BUT why are you gonna go on national tv and criticize ppl who lighten their skin? she's such a hypocrite I'm not saying she should say oh yeah I lightened my skin drastically but at least don't criticize other indians who're into it. Someone said girls who're naturally not dusky but have bad features are considered beauties and you named Manisha and Karishma I'm sorry but you must be blind if you don't find their features pretty because they both have beautiful features and perfect on their face. Manisha had long eyes with lovely big eyelid creases, nice nose and nice lips and her facial structure was really nice. Karishma has a nice heart shaped face, she has a slim nose and perfect for her face she has big blue eyes and she's very pretty over all. I'm sorry but she was the only actress who ever darkened herself in movies and hid her blue eyes unlike other actresses who only lighten themselves up more. Karishma is beautiful and to me I've never seen anyone else look more innocent and gorgeous in movies especially in movies where she came with her natural skin color and eyes. She was hot in the movies she tanned herself but she's gorgeous. Sonali Bendre was gorgeous back in her days I loved her too. Hema is naturally light skinned very light skinned you can still tell she's light even now even though she's so old. Aish is pretty she has lovely features but please don't say the rest have bad features because they don't .... all of the girls have way above average looks and features for being Indians but it's true that if Aish had starred into movies looking like the way she does in the 9th picture where she's holding her hands in "namaste" way she wouldn't have gotten anywhere so she lightened her skin and every time she skips lightening treatments or too much sun this happens to her and please note that if she was naturally light (not white like they make her look) if she was naturally light she would have never tanned in such a dusky tone you just don't you tan in a total different tone I know because I'm a light skinned desi.
her eybrows, her jawline, her nose, her hair line everything has changed drastically from what she was in this picture to what she is now! Eitherways, she was pretty and looks much prettier now.
Now she just looks plastic.
She used to be drop dead gorgeous really I could kill to have the looks she had 10/15/20 years ago!
Unfortunately she's a total plastic mess today. Well that's what sleeping around money does to ya !

this shows what is true not only about Ash but all of Bollywood and the glamour world- make up maketh the man/woman. with some extra help from photoshopping as well. so their beauty is only skin deep. sure, some of these stars are good looking, perhaps better than average, but gorgeous? no! spectacular? hardly! with Ash the problem is that she is far too glorified for her beauty, some of which isn't even natural. she is good looking, maybe unusual for an indian, exotic, but her beauty is enhanced. she herself tries to portray herself as a natural beauty, when clearly she has had the benefit of years of grooming during her modeling days, before Ms. World and Bollywood happened. that's why she comes across even more as a "fake" and "wannabe". she may not have gone under the knife but it is evident from her pics that her beauty isn't all god-given. oh, and this "beauty" is pretty subjective so I don't understand the deal with Ash fans being unable to accept that many people just don't find her all that beautiful. it has nothing to do with envy but different preferences. some like Katrina or Kareena. I love Sonali Bendre. simple. also, this whole "most beautiful woman in the world" tag is not only ridiculous but annoying as well. as if someone actually went and looked and compared every single woman in the world and then by some objective standard picker Ash! talk about being over hyped and Ash comes up again and again!
i think all of us have young stupid pics .. where we thought we looked nice but looked completely horrible .. cut her slack..she is fabolous .... There is something about her ....
