ROBOT fever grips Japan
Robot released to a thunderous response in Japan last month. The film was re-edited to two hours to suit the people there. However, it became a rage in the country, so much so that on popular public demand, the 3 hour version of the film is being screened at 1300 theatres across the country. Four weeks gone and still going strong, it is still competing with mainstream Japanese films. The song Irumbile/Naina Miley has become an anthem and the Japanese are humming to it despite the language divide.

Rajni has always been huge in Japan.. i have been hearing abt him being famous der since my childhood days... i have even heard stories of Japanese fans flocking his residence here in Chennai !!!

He is the star we can't imagine his strength. but the people from japan could know.
They loves Rajini because of his simplicity and active in acting.
but few does not have that mindset to accept this. because he is from tamil or south india.
Also everyone knows robo is big hit because of Rajini. but they can't accept for that they are telling that is because of Ishwarya. (Its good joke check other ishwarya movies)

Can't wait to see the Tamil brigade protest over Aishwarya getting poster coverage more than Rajni! Also, to those Indians feeling 'patriotic' over this -- you simply don't understand the wacky tastes of the Japanese :)

The US flag could mean it's an office representing an American trade mission or an embassy or even an American cafe .
God, people get so paranoid. Japan considers the US it's no.1 ally and anything American is far more popular there than anything Indian.

Japanese love robots it's the main reason this movie is huge in Japan the second being Rajini's huge fan following there it has NOTHING TO DO WITH AISHWARYA If the Japanese like her that much why weren't her other movies big hits there? It's funny how her fans trying to make it like it became a hit in Japan because of Aishwarya's huge star power there. IT"S TRULY VERY VERY PATHETIC

Actually it does. But it is Rajnikanth's starpower that made this movie a huge hit in Japan, he's already a big name there since his movie 'Mutthu'. Amazing feat at his age!

Rajni Ash jodi was so odd, I never could get myself to watch this movie. But when it became such a huge blockbuster. I was really curious to watch what was in it.. lol to my surprise I did like it...
and agree to someone who said not to watch dubbed version.. it takes away the impact of the movie, watch in subtitles
This is my personal opinion but this was a terrible movie!
