'Action Replayy' gets an Oscar entry
The makers of Action Replayy have a reason to smile. After all the screenplay of their film has been invited by the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences which wants it for its permanent script collection. Producer-director Vipul Shah got intimation on this regard early this week and he is making the necessary arrangements to ensure that a copy of the screenplay reaches Margaret Herrick library of the Academy. Confirms Vipul, "Yes, they have shown a keen interest in preserving the screenplay of Action Replayy. They send out the invites for those films which they need for research purpose. Even earlier, a copy of screenplay of Namastey London was shared with them when they had expressed their desire for that. I am glad that they feel Action Replayy is worthy enough for students of cinema to read and learn." Screenplay of Action Replayy has been written by Vipul Shah and Aatish Kapadia. While the film has managed to make an impression at the Academy, ironically in 'apna Bollywood', many critics were far away from being kind to this Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai film. "It only shows that how far detached are quite a few of our esteemed critics are from grasping the real content of cinema", shrugs away Vipul here, "Academy has shown so much good interest, those from the audience who have seen the film have liked it but then some really scathing comments from the critics did come as a shocker. Now that the screenplay is going to the Oscars library, it is definitely redemption of sorts." I watched the film last week and thought it was a super-fun film. And to my surprise it turned out much better than Golmaal 3.

oscar entry and oscar library two different things
and also oscar library entance doesnt mean the movie well done ...even flops placed there as well so ...nothing to exaggerate ...as it doesnt related to commercial and acting success of the regarding movie

Watched both Golmaal 3 and Action Replayy back to back last week. Golmaal 3 is stale and its slaptstick comedy makes you want to slap the actors like Kareena and Arshad. The first half is a *YAWN*, the second half has some pace but then gets reduced by the most hideous climax I've seen in Bollywood for the past many years. No hideous is acceptable if it at least serves the purpose - being funny. Unfortunately, it does not. And I wasted 2 hours of my life on this film. Ugh.
Action replayy is no masterpiece either, but the story was good, songs were very well picturized...Aishwarya's dance was awesome, Akki's wig was uglyyyyyy, but the film was sweet. A cute entertainer. Worth a two time watch.
golmaal 3 did more bussiness but action repalyy is condidered way better..............this is what i like abt this film

Thou there is a very large intergrated Indain population, the top 30 movies now playing are all
"English Movies".

I think that people jump to these arguments because all of you guys are Aishwarya Rai haters. So what if there is a woman that is perfect without plastic surgery. It is the fact that you all can not accept. Yes many actors love doing plastic surgery which eventually becomes ÒBVIOUS` but has anything like that ever been so apparent for Rai. Humanity can not accept the way it is. And you yourselves are the best examples for this. You can not accept that Aishwarya Rai is perfect and does all sorts of good things. Of course you will vote for other movies because all of you like watching intercourse material on screen. I live in Canada and from what I have seen here, people go crazy for bollywood movies. They understand the love and friendship in bollywood more than hollywood. When the world is after our culture why are you idiots that live in a nation (where you should have pride) running away from it and trying to be all westernized. Shame on our culture!

If any of this news is true then the oscar people probably fell in love with the costumes and songs but not the story!!!

Sujata which village are u from exactly..Oscar entry and oscar library are 2 different things completely...get your fact right and please right proper headlines....if u compared guzarish with G3 I still buy u that guzarish way better than G3, but with action replay...I had a laugh at G3, Ar i could not 5 min and had to walk out.
