About a month ago there were rumors of Aishwarya endorsing Kalyan Jewellers for which she will sign a deal worth 20CR(10 Cr annual) Now it has been confirmed Talking about Aishwarya,the managing director of Kalyan Jewellers adds:“Aishwarya’s popularity and stardom at an international level is unparalleled. It will be for Kalyan’s advertising film that Aishwarya will face the camera for the first time after her maternity break. Aishwarya will be wearing Kalyan’s latest designs for this ad film which will be made at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crores Today the group has 34 stores spread over the 4 southern states and is fast evolving as the No.1 jewellery brand in the country. This year the group is entering new markets of Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi, West Bengal and Gujarat. The group is expecting to touch a turnover of Rs. 15000 crores this financial year. C'mon it isn't an unknown brand..It is literally the biggest jewellery brand in South India,And it actually became a huge name is just few years.So like they say,it will become the biggest jewellery brand in India soon.They are also opening stores internationally.Ash is the only recognized Indian face abroad...So simple they choose Ash.
They have a turnover of Rs 15000 crs.How much does it take to pay 20 Crs to their brand ambassadress who is give their business tremendous boost.No wonder she is the highest paid actress in the country even now!WOW!

On the contrary, I am surprised that a brand with annual turnover 15,000 crore is paying her only 10 crore per year, the brand name of Aishwarya Rai is worth much more then mediocre unknown brand name of Kalyan jewelers. She should have asked for more 40-50 crore per year to lend her name to this not so popular brand. I am sure she could have got at least 30 crore per year, her managers might not have negotiated properly.
And too be frank, as her fan, I am a bit disappointed since after endorsing big International brands, she is lowering her standards to a relatively lesser known company like Kalyan jewelers. But yes, considering she hasn't done any international projects the past 3-4 years , and any movies the past 2 years, still getting paid 20 crore (much more then Katrina/Kareena/Priyanka, who have several 100 crore + movies under their belt) , is a feat in itself

Just cuz Kalyan is a South Indian brand does not make it mediocre and unknown. You are just an ignorant person who believes that all good things come from either Mumbai or Delhi. Here's some news for you darling.
Kalyan is the biggest jewelry chain in India, with an impressive turnover. A bit of googling can help you. Just so you know.
