Is Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan taking it easy? Find your answers here!
This article answers many questions that people have been asking about Aishwarya lately. By DNA India B-Town’s been abuzz with rumours of actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan planning her return to Bollywood, ever since reports of her meeting a few top filmmakers started doing the rounds recently. Though there’s been no word from the actor herself, about her plans of return, the industry is speculating about when it’s most likely to happen. However, apparently Aishwarya is in no rush to return to the big screen anytime soon. Insiders reveal that she is enjoying being a hands-on mum for now and doesn’t want to get back to films at least till this year end, as she can’t bear leaving her daughter behind for the extensively long hours required for shoots. Even if she does read and sign on a film, she is unlikely to start shooting for it right away, they opine. “There’s no denying that there are several offers and filmmakers have been trying to get her to at least read their scripts, but of what we know, she’s not looking at starting any film till her daughter doesn’t turn one at least. There are several filmmakers who’ve also conveyed to her that they don’t mind the wait too,” says a source. “She’s a completely hands-on mum and her only focus at the moment is her daughter. It’s unlikely that she’ll take up films right away, though she may continue with her endorsements as they require fewer hours of shooting. Being a thorough professional, she wouldn’t commit till she’s not ready,” adds another source. In fact, ever since the birth of her daughter on November 16, last year, the actor has only been seen attending two social events so far. Though her appearances have triggered off buzz that the actor is taking it easy as far as getting back into shape is concerned, insiders reveal that apparently it’s not something that’s on her agenda anyway for now. “She still has the new mommy glow and as for the weight, well, she can get back to shape whenever she wants, what’s the hurry?” said an insider. Apparently, the actor has got back to her exercise regime, but is at present only doing light work-outs. She’s not getting into intensive workouts yet. According to the source, “Her only reason to get back to exercising is to stay fit. She can easily get back to her pre-pregnancy shape, whenever she wants too, so it’s not something that anyone’s worried about. At present, her world revolves around her daughter and she’s enjoying the break from her otherwise hectic pace as an actor for now.”

Hell ya
Its funny how ppl say she is caring for her child blab blab blab, i see her in the news she at this party that party haha funny she have time for parties but no time to loose some fat and claiming she taking her time haha funny
No one wants to be fat but she probably dont know how to get those fat off her ass so they came up wth silly excuse and so are her fans,
Ash is so fake and full of crap, of course she would do anything to get those fat off her because she want to die with the name tag "most beautiful women in the world"
btw she is not the "most beautiful women in the world" i have seem many beautiful girls, women and agable ppl looking better than her without makeup. who are also actress and non actress
Ooh yeah, the lazy bum is takin it easy for sure. for so many years she rode on her beautiful face...and now cleverly enough she's got the Bachchan tag...so she'll be around for a few more years...takin' it easy !
Wow the desperation to keep Ms. Rai in the limelight...recycling the same old news over and over again. By the way who could she pair up with? Salman is out, Hrithik is begining to look like her son, Abhishek & Ms. Rai are a disaster on screen, Aamir Khan would probably pair up with her only for an ad shoot....given that she can now only be a big sister or mommy in movies I hope she wil make the best decision of sparing the world her non acting skills & not end up draining the poor producers and directors of their hard earned cash! She can of course keep being in the limelight for the sake of all the unintelligent mortals drooling over her by claiming that she was given every single role first before being rejected by her and only then the roles went on to be offered to Tabu, Kajol, Kareena, Meryl Streep, Halle Berry....well you all get the point right?
you were, was and will the most beautiful woman in the world ever for me aishwarya.I really love u a lot and crazily waiting for ur comeback.I dont give a dam on what the jealous people says.
She's totally right! She really cares about her daughter.

woman of substance ...
*****
Yeah I do see a LOT of Substance here....Lot of blubber!!
I personally cannot wait for Aishwarya to come back to the silver screen! Even though not all her movies are commercially successful, she's taken on a variety of interesting roles. It's so refreshing, especially with the crop of talentless bimbos in today's industry i.e. Katrina Kaif who couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Totally understandable that she wants time with the baby, but I hope Aish returns and continues with her great work!

beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors.
......................................................................
And no one is arrogant or deluded enough to claim they r the most beautiful woman on earth.
-----------------
SHE'S never said or believed that - her fans and PR are the arrogant and deluded ones! But very true statement.
She looks ok for someone who just had a baby 3 months ago. But the longer you wait, the harder it becomes to lose the baby weight. But if she's not working, then it doesn't really matter.

I think ash should focus on motherhood now and maybe few months later focus on toning down and come up with a more gorgeous and sexy ash....let us not forget that she has always had an unusual career thwarting all written rules for actresses...she came to top at 26-27, redonned sexy at 32, became intl star at 30, married and had a career of more than 4 years...continues to be a major star and global brand....she will defnitely sign and shine again
she has every right to do what she wants .. it's her body, her health, her boundary, her issues, her stardom.. not yours to judge.
granted, she is a public figure-- and the public has made her a star. but she's a human too.. and it's her body, not yours. there's a limit to star-bashing. star or not, no one in the world.. NO ONE has any right to discriminate, call names, or put down anyone based on their size, color, gender, religion, class, caste, financial status, orientation, nationality or religion.
the comments on her size are clearly coming from a very very immature lot. all of India is coming forward to defend her!
beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors.
I adore Ash for relishing her motherhood caring two hoots for people who comment about her postpartum physique!
she is very talented and IMO. the most beautiful too... perfect package
I'm a fan of her movies, but am not bowled over by her beauty like everyone else is. But beauty is relative. She's very pretty though, not 'most beautiful' but very pretty and well-spoken.
Aishwarya is a decent actress and she's done a variety of roles. I don't think she's 'the best' actress, but I do like how she changes it up. She looks ok for a woman who's given birth just 3-4 months ago; she'll get back in shape when it's required. I read that she worked hard to drop 15-20 kg for Dhoom 2 pretty quickly at the request of the director. She gained it at her own will for Guzaarish and B&P. So, when it's required, she'll drop it too.
And to the poster that mentioned Kajol or compared Aish to Kajol - years after giving birth and raising children, Kajol still does not look good. And she has no excuse! She's flabby in the wrong places and her choice of clothing doesn't help. Look at Karishma Kapoor - mother of 2 and a body like that! Aish looks just fine - it'll only be bad if she looks like this for a movie, but knowing Bollywood, I don't think a director will allow that to happen!
She'll take a year off, get back into shape, maybe fix her face with more plastic surgeries, and then she'll go back to doing flop movies!

Ummm ...no. The greatest actress ever would be Meryl Streep. Aishwarya doesn't come close to her in terms of talent, depth, range etc. And since she's said many times that cinema is global and that she doesn't like to draw boundaries....let's compare her to actresses her age and younger outside of India.
Around Aishwarya's age - Charlize Theron, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connolly, Gwyneth Paltrow.
Younger - Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Rooney Mara.
ALL of the above are better than Aishwarya, whose primary 'talent' is exaggerated expressions, being able to cry on cue in every movie, lip synch, and dance. Even her Hollywood movies are a joke and were not embraced by US audiences.
All actress are good except for Rooney Mara. Don't know why but I think her acting in GWTDT was mega overrated. It's funny how she got an Oscar nomination when the actress who played in the swedish version Naoomi Rapace did not get any award nomination. She was wayy better then Rooney Mara.
---------------------
Noomi Rapace got critical acclaim in Sweden for her work - maybe it wasn't talked about internationally. Also, unofficially, Roger Ebert started a petition/following or something to haver portray Salander in English. But she declined. She said she loved the character but had already spent 3 years portraying her, and did not want to do it again in English. It wouldn't have allowed her the opportunities she's been given now had she done that. I think Mara's talent has yet to be untapped, but she was good in Dragon Tattoo. Have you read the books? I thought both had Salander dead-on, but Mara's intrepretation was a little edgier. Matter of opinion, and I respect yours.
Back to Rai - I actually think she's better in the smaller, off-beat type of roles she's done i.e. Chokher Bali, Raincoat. I'm not a fan of the typical masala movies, so I didn't care for her in Robot. But if I compare her to the other actresses, I just find them better than her.
no thats only your silly aasumption ...i see you are also one of those obsessed ones who cant stand to see the real colour of painted aishwarya ...thus you insult when the realities revealed out...how ridiculous
Most of her movie suck. Unless it has SRK but otherwise she has poor choice in movies.
boring
Looked good around late 90's up until mid 2000's. She stopped looking good when she married that talentless rickshaw driver. Yuck!
aishwarya doesnt care beceaus she knows the weakest point of indian society "fairness" and "being traditional innoocent middle class girl" thats why she ignores her dark feet and hands she knows whitened face enough to be fair and lovely...
lol you get rejected by a guy or something? sure looks like it. no one was even talking about her skin tone.
38 years old wow...

why cant people accept tha some are born fairer than others..i have seen ash in real life with minimal makeup ..she is really fair. with hazel eyes and his is before she turned actress..my mom who is not as fair as her but doesnt wear any makeup in photos maybe bcos of light appears more light skinned actually like kashmirir white than she is..so i think ash with even some foundation ( which all actress use) cos of bright lights look fairer than hey are esp as lights are on face and not on legs or hands so relatively they appear more tan than face.....i think u gals too with slight foundation and bright light would look as white as aish....worse is pc and bips whom i hv seen in real life they are dark but put foundation ie 2-3 shades lighetr than priginal skin and end up looking like clown.
Heavy or slim, dusky or light, whatever the most recent catch-phrase or controversy may be - Aishwarya is LIGHT YEARS ahead of current actresses in terms of talent and body of work. Even though all the movies have not been commercially successful (she herself has acknowledged that on Simi Garewal), the roles portrayed have been great. She doesn't look as good as before, but I hope that when she does come back, we'll see a movie star. As a fan, I'd like to see her trim down and tone up to get back to her glam self, but totally understand why it's not her priority right now.
The fact that Aishwarya is home and focusing on her baby only shows how her heart is in the right place. Unlike other celebs, like Victoria beckam for example, who schedule a tummy tuck right after an electice C-section. Aishwarya is probably breastfeeding, and you can' t diet when nursing. I think she does look round, and the fan in me wishes to see her slim and in movies soon. But she is enjoying her baby and focusing on that. What the Hell is wrong with that? Love my Aishwarya!!! :)
