Is Aishwarya's 'Most Beautiful Woman' tag working against her?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - The name has always been associated with the 'Most Beautiful Woman' tag. Every time Ash made an appearance at any international event, she was introduced as the Most Beautiful Woman. Aishwarya who gave birth to a baby girl last November was recently seen at the Deshmukh wedding. One couldn't help notice the negative comments that came her way for the recent weight gain postpartum. If Abhsihek is to believed, Ash will be taking a hiatus from acting for a short while fully focussing on their little one. So now my question for you is, is the 'Most beautiful Woman' tag working against Aishwarya here. For a woman who has always been known for her beauty, the aam junta are not able to digest the fact that Ash is currently not in great shape. Would people have been merficul if she was not called the Most Beautiful woman? P.S: Postpartum weight gain is a common scenario and celebrities like Jessica Alba have admitted to going through this phase. Comments?

Some of you people are absolutely despicable and repulsive in your comments about Aishwarya. You should be ashamed of your behavior. Women should think of themselves as sisters and not constantly tear each other down by comparing or judging appearances. Some people do think she's very beautiful. Why would that bother anyone? And who cares if she gained some weight and hasn't lost it in the time-frame that you've set for her--it's HER life! I say: with women like some of YOU, who needs enemies? Instead of concentrating on Aish's weight, you'd do better to reflect your own, inner flaws and try to change those, because reading some of these posts, it's clear that there are many.
why is the person loling at the comparison to angie jolie. Plz take a minute to google pix of both of them from the early to mid 90s when Ash was at the peak of her beauty without any surgical aid while without her surgically altered nose, cheekbones, chins and boobs Angelina Jolie was a complete clone of her dad Jon Voight.
give it a break, she is enjoying motherhood which is the most important thing for her to focus on right now. no one needs to be judging on a process that is healthy and natural.
she was fat up to FIVE months after having a kid. that is NOT postpartum. forget celebs even normal women can shed in that time. see how many of them are back to bikini bodies in six weeks. we dont judge normal women, coz:
- they do not go around the world happily lapping up the MBWITW tag. she never denied it or called it a ridiculous notion (Which is it), not even once
-normal women take care of their baby (usually by age 39 they have 2 or 3 other kids to take care of in addition to the newborn too). they WORK outside the home at their jobs, look after their other kid/s, cook, clean, do shopping and other household errands, take the kids to playdates, various school and other lessons etc and yet they still manage to go to gym and train. or if not i guess some of them lose through all the work done that i mentioned above. not sitting on the @$$ all day and eating laddooos.

I think, it's despicable for people to take pot shots at a person in any size !! Does size ( fat or thin) so define an individual that it becomes a national debate??? Pls don't forget she is a nursing mother & truly comfortable in her skin to have ppl tear her apart as if they own her body or being!!! Disgusting attitude!! How can one compare a person with another. No 2 ppl have the same life story/ experiences so whr is the comparison?? There is always a story behind a person straying from their norm especially when they have been in great shape before. Respect that let the individual be coz it could one day be u too! There is nothing in life as inevitable as change .. So is the human body. So if u r fit today u may not b tomorrow ( due to whatever circumstances) & vise versa. It's an in going life cycle. High time India & Indians learn to be respectful towards an individual rather be petty , personal & judgmental on superficial basis all the time!! I may never been a fan of this actresses looks but she has more achievements to her credit than her looks alone. Let's start judging ppl by that for a start! Learn something good from the West ( respect for the individual) not just the bad.

Do you have any proof to back your accusations? Ash's features are the same as when she was younger. Sure she got older, but basically her face structure remained the same. She got fuller cheeks and wider jaw due to aging and gaining weight. Nobody remains perfectly as in their early twenties. About the botched eyebrow lift: do you know that her left eyebrow was always a bit higher than the other one? And it only accentuated with the years passing, due to her posing at photo shoots and events, and dancing -dancers use their eyebrows a lot. There is a slight asymmetry that makes her face unique: her left eye has a bigger eyelid and her left eyebrow is higher than their right counterparts. I think you're not familiar with her early movies or photographs, or with her movies where she wears minimal make-up, else you would knew this simple fact.
She had hooked nose in her Miss Worlds day too, though it's possible that she made it finer, but modern make-up can give the illusion of a sharpen tip... Angie had a good rhinoplasty as well, and she still is considered the most beautiful in the world.
I don't know about bleaching, her skin was always wheattish, dusky. She has a Cannes apparition where she seemed to abuse a whiter shade of foundation though. Even if she used botox, she didn't abused it like other celebs, as her face doesn't look frozen. *cough Nicole Kidman cough*
Cindy Crawford was such a natural beauty 3 years ago, now she looks horrible with oldish features because of the surgeries. I bet she regrets what she has done to her face... I'd take Ash any day over her now.

LOL have you seen lately how Cindy Crawford looks like? She destroyed her face with surgeries and fillers, she looks almost unrecognizable and old. Most of the foreign actresses you mentioned did something to their faces or bodies in order to look good.
Let's wait a few months, a year, to see how Aish will look like, it's too early for now. She'll bounce back eventually.

Cindy Crawford: 46, 2 kids
Carolyn Murphy: 38 years old, same as Aish, former model (maybe even still)
Christie Brinkley: 58 years old, amazing looking! 5 kids or something crazy.
Plenty of others that look better than her - Karishma Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Kate Winslet (2 kids, 37 or 38 yrs). The list goes on. Aish looks ok, but 'most beautiful' faded years ago! That tag is so overused. People don't even realize that statistically there cannot be a 'most beautiful' as beauty differs by culture.

Aishwarya's 38, going on 39 this year (almost sure). Since you said 'star' without specifying a film industry, I'm going to give various examples of, who in my opinion, looks a thousand times better than Aish.
Late 30s, around the same age - Charlize Theron, Kate Beckinsale, Penelope Cruz
40s, a few years older- Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Zeta Jones
Older than Aish (prob 40s/50s) - Diane Lane, Julianne Moore
Most of those ladies also have children, so it's not that I'm comparing unfairly. You asked in terms of age only, not nationality, acting talent, etc. As for the Indian actresses you named, they're mostly younger, so that's not a fair comparison, and they haven't had children. So, of course they're going to look good. I think there are plenty of women her age or older that are far better in terms of figure and face.

She was beautiful until 2006 in Dhoom 2. Now she looks like any other fat, middle aged 'aunty.' Plenty of women are more beautiful than her - her PR and exalted tag constantly repeated by the likes of Oprah and the stupid media is what's kept her relevant.
everybody geting old by they ages but ash still look beautiful for her age , she will get her nice body back when she return to work. not worry media.

well, most ppl think she's been fair.. usually light eyed ppl often have fair comlexsions. but what do you mean by evolved? her kid photos could have been when she had a tan, etc.
but by saying evolved.. are you hinting Aish evolved to a great beauty. she looked fair.. but frankly a bit simple in her teen photos.. and as Miss World, still did not have the glam looks that she 'evolved' too.. is this what you mean? or do you think she always had this great looks.. and is flawless from the start?
as for mentioning Sri, etc- -yeah most ppl are aware that nearly everyone in Bollywood looked differnet at one time.. nothing new. even Kar who is always fair.. they say had a slight nose job. everyone is artificial. so what do you mean-- you're saying Aishwarya is all natural and different from them?

the tag means a lot and works for her: everyone.. everyone wants to just meet her and see what the fuss is about. haters want to do it even more than fans. they won't admit it, but they are more obsessed with her than her own fans are.
i worked with aishwariya on different occasions. the last i met her was on masterchef episode when she came to promote action replay . 1) she is gorgeous . there is something alluring about her. she has always been fair . so many other actresses are fair like kareena. people evolve over point of time . ssridevi was dark skinned girl evolved in now skinny white women. i think she is gorgeous

Easy! Kate Beckinsale, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Catherine Zeta Jones, Natalie Portman - all mothers with a 'better face than Aish.' There's no such thing as 'perfect' and the only reason she's considered beautiful in India is because she's fair skinned with light eyes - both of which are artificial i.e. skin bleach, color lenses. If you look back at her Miss World pictures from 1994, you'll see a brown skinned girl with black hair and brown eyes.

They're not common anywhere. Find me pictures of everyday women or actresses that look like the above and post them. There's nothing exotic about Aishwarya from her bloated, flabby figure to her bleached, thinning hair, wrinkles on her neck, and whitened complexion. There's plenty of people outside of India that look like Aishwarya. What makes her exotic?
