The Western media is shocked at the criticism Aishwarya has been receiving in her home country, India. It is quite ironic because India is known to be welcome to all shapes and sizes unlike the West which has strict rules for celebrities to be stick thin, yet here the West is shocked at the level at which Ash is being slammed for having a few extra pounds on her body! She was among the top trends all over the world in Yahoo and MSN. Trended at #1 on Yahoo and #3 on MSN worldwide. Every single major publication in the world - Huffingtion Post, Daily Mail, US Magazine, ABC News, Perez Hilton, Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, BBC and many more of such sites. This is nice publicity for Aishwarya, now shes attending Cannes. I know for sure that aish will look chubby at the filmfestival...but nothing like the pic above. This is what she wants....she had tons of time to loose the weight....trust me shes a celeb and is capable of loosing up to 5 kg a week. Its unhealthy but its possible..ive done it myself.

Schmuck, I already 'cyber throttled' a couple of times for what you said when Aish made her first public appearance in February. lol But no, apparently you weren't the only one to remark on that; besides, the comments on Victoria B started after the paps took those unflattering pictures of Aish at the end of April, leaving the Ambani party. Gossip rags and some netizens compared Aish with other celeb mothers like Angelina and Victoria B, or even with Lara and Kajol. I only want to know who was the smart guy who said that "it's her duty to look good and fit" lol Or the idiots who made the video with the elephant noises.
I wouldn't want to be in Aish's place right now. And the fact that she is to appear at Cannes must feel a lot more stressful now, and frankly, I wouldn't go if I were her. lol

a new born child sleeps for 18 hrs a day.. especially throughtout the noon from 12 to 6.. you have all the time in the world to hit the gym.. i had a c-section and a broken treadmill in my house and lost 8 kgs in the first 6 months because i didnt know what else to do when my girl was taking a nap!!! so please stop playing the motherhood card and just say i am enjoying the break and the food and will get back to shape when i think i need to rather than put down all the new mothers who take an effort to loose weight atleast to make ourselves fit to get back to our work and family in full swing.
Earlier, Indians never cared about an actress once she gets married and becomes mother and its a norm that still exists in the hindi film industry that actresses who become mom never get the lead roles because there is no demand for them as such. It happens this way in the industry. But dunno why this huge fuss surrounding her weight gain?. Also, she is making rare appearances not frequently, we see her attending any parties or events, and she has not signed any films. People can criticize her, go on writing hateful essays, if she does a film looking the way she is right now. She is aging gracefully and we should let her be. What she does in her personal life and what she doesn't is not anybody's concern. People fail to see the hinder side of married actresses career, give a single name of actress, who was offered the role of lead protagonist after they got married. Don't mean to offend or ridicule any married actress, but honestly Karisma has been talking about her movie, Dangerous Ishq for the past 3 years which will be releasing this year. Ever wondered why we no longer get to read any news of Madhuri getting movie offers or Kajol for that matter signing films? These actresses have been popular with the audience at one period of time but still they don't get offers. I know that you will find none, because the reality is that they will be offered the mummy roles or bhabhi's roles. All we get to read is the news about current lot of actresses signing films. Being part of the film industry for quite a long period of time, maybe ash is well aware of the fact that she could no longer play the pivotal roles or be glamorous doll that she used to be.
