Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's weight creates a storm in the international media arena

I really think Aishwarya living in a conservative joint family situation is holding her back. Her in-laws probably discourage her from losing weight coz they want a 'homely' bahu.

She is very popular. even in Suriname(South America)

She is trending on the US yahoo page again.
Why has her weight become an issue that is discussed internationally ?
If I were her I would put on more weight and parade around just to piss people off.. lol
Perhaps she has let herself go,maybe its delibrately her choice. Her weight her problem not the worlds.

aishwarya rai is essentially a caricature, she isn't really anything more than a pretty face. No personality, no charm, no relatability. Plus she seems really stuck up and her playing the victim yet again might be getting her attention right now which is making her PR overjoyed on this website but it is going to hurt it in the long haul. Why didn't the international media (using the term loosely for tabloids who love a good trainwreck) pick up on the hate she got when she unethically signed a movie and failed to tell the director shes pregnant? Because obviously she couldn't have garnered sympathy from it. The beauty is all she has and her box office collections are a testament to the fact that people aren't interested in watching her on screen anymore. I suggest her to do some real PR work, not obvious media manipulations which overemphasize her delusions of grandeur, such as save the children in africa or heck even India/start a charity/going green initiative/adopt a child/etc. If you aren't ridiculously talented then becoming a celebrity with a social and environmental conscience is the only way to ensure you won't fade away.

Oxygen , im also dutch and living in Holland. I didnt know that we have obsessed aish fans in Holland. I was wondering are you from Surinam or India? And besides you living in Holland should know how many gorgous looking woman we have in Holland. Look at those marrocan and turkish and even dutch beauties who look like aish or are even more beautiful then aish. I think aish is overrated. and Pinkvilla please publish this!

This tells you who the true queen of bollywood is. She does nothing now but feed her baby yet still so famous all over the world, others are trying so hard to reach her status so sad.

I'm not a fan of either Ash or SRK but I one thing I must admit. No one has celebrity power like these two.Whatever they do whether it's sneeze,cough,jump,take their pet to poop,the news will make headlines. Whether it's bad or good publicity it just makes them more & more popular. And like I said although I'm not an Ash fan plz spare her for atleast her baby's sake. Even in the above pics after getting fat she still looks beautiful.But also some of her fans are comparing her with Victoria Beckham which is absolutely wrong. Ash & Victoria are two different women,thus they lose weight their own way.Indian & Western body type is different,they lose weight faster than us. So plz just leave Ash,all this is of no importance to a new mother.All she cares about is her baby.

That's plain slack. The media should just mind their own business. Aishwaryia has the right to spend quality time with her child and not worry about her weight.

Bravo! I am so glad finally they are putting attention towards how pathetic the indian media and quite frankly some indians are. Forcing women to look a certain way, or telling them they are not beautiful for not conforming to what they're definition of beauty is. This proves that aishwarya is famous all around the world and people can just suck it up. And also that she can go to cannes work the red carpet and still represent india very well the way she always does, with weight or no weight. The Indian media is pathetic and the public is pathetic for being so shallow and uneducated and stupid, for criticizing a woman's weight. Even if she weren't pregnant and felt like gaining all the weight by her own choice, why do other people care? who are you to judge her? it is infact her body, and she can do what she wants to it.
