Hollywood star Jean-Claude Van Damme is back in action with Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables 2. But the Sudden Death (1995) actor also has Bollywood — and one of its leading ladies, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan — in mind.
“There are so many good movies(in Bollywood). One film I remember watching is Devdas,” says Van Damme. “I honestly want to go to India and make a film there. Let’s see if something works out.”
Ask the action star (we remember seeing him bond with Salman at IIFA Dubai in 2005) if he knows of any other Bollywood actor, and he answers, “Yes, that lady from Devdas? Is she Aishwarya Rai?”
And who does he think would be an ideal co-star for him? “It has to be Aishwarya (Rai). She is absolutely gorgeous,” he adds with a laugh.

Everybody wants to work with Ash because there is something reallyyyy special about Ash!
I doubt he ever watched Devdas. I remember when he came to Whistler...it was only a 3-4 day trip and I swear all he did was drink like a fish and sleep with anyone who came his way (couple of my friends included). Of course he was nice and everything but it seemed only to us young girls and not so much to the hotel staff.
Of course he wants to work with her. Pretty much all Hollywood stars want to get brown fan base when they stop getting too many roles in Hollywood. Its become quite a trend now to learn the names of someone popular in Bollywood and then make a statement that you want to work with them. Gets you in the news overseas and hopefully noticed enough to get back into limelight.

aishwarya can never compete with will smith brad pitt or any others there because she also knows when she took part with them in a movie she will turn out to be crap and also she will be overshadowed by their fame and talent thats why she has always refuses by creating logical(!) excuses but uses all this drama to increase her price in the home country
as for her hollywood movies up to now which are few she wwas just an indian eye candy thats why all of them turned out to be flop abroad

You need talent to be a star in Hollywood? Umm Kristen Stewart anyone? Or Megan Fox? There are so many!
If Aishwarya's target was to become popular in Hollywood she would have at once accepted all the eyecandy roles she got offered by big heroes like Will Smith, Brad Pitt, etc. But she didn't and focused on doing good work. A look at her filmography tells that she has always wanted to be a versatile actor. She has succeeded in some and failed in some, but which talented actor doesn't?

Hrithik won rave reviews for his performance and although Aishwarya was excellent in the film, so was he, and his role was much more challenging... he pulled it off so well I would say that it was to date the best performance of his career.

@sweet00parul is Pinkvilla really that old????I mean I recently started commenting on Pinkvilla as a user but I've been frequenting this site from about four years,& I didn't even know Pinkvilla is 6/7 yrs old!!!But anyways you're right Aishwarya and her fans have been ruling PV ever since it started and she is truly the Queen Of Pinkvilla as @Voicewriter said!Though I'm not a fan of her acting or films(to me she's an okayish actor)I just love her beauty,dancing skills,grace,elegance & star power.And I must agree Ash can grab eyeballs like no one else on any site,& especially Pinkvilla. Her one news about Van Damme praising her & wanting to work with with her gets the max.no. of hits!BTW I hope that when Ash does a Hollywood film she stays away from making atrocious & abysmal films like Pink Panther 2 and Last Legion,that does absolutely nothing for her career.And yes Ash does look like an absolute dream in the above pic!!!
