There is no place for if in life as I can change the question and say what if salman had not created a ruckus- ash would have done chalte chalte veer zaara and so forth and probably black. rani may never have been on the radar screen.

Rani is still whom she is and will always remain herself, she did not gain her fames because of B's and will never scoop so low as to becoming their underdog just for fame.
God has blessed this damsel and God will do more plentious fames for her and she will be known as before and will remain atop of the Bollywood actresses.

I love Rani and Abhishek together. Loved them in Yuva. They were so natural. I think the Bachans would have preffered her as bahu.

I like Ranishek but Rani does not need him to be on top. She has talent and that is enough to be on top.

Ash would have faded if not for her marriage with the Bachchans. She is suddenly in working with the best directors when eveyone knows she is a mediocre actress.

Rani will find a better man. I just hope that Rani and Abhi do another film together.

Rani-Abhi would be considered the power couple -- No. Aish-Abhi is a "power" couple coz Ash is a global icon and Abhi is Big B's son.

Rani still might have been reinging with films and offers and endorsements and world tours like Aishwarya -- No. Directors don't sign Rani and Ash depending on who they are married to/or are single.

Maybe she would have starred In Mani Ratnam's Raavana instead of Aish. Rani did do Yuva with him opposite Abhishek. She might have been cast in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzzarish instead of Aish. She did do Black with him. -- NO. This is ohh so god stupid.. same reason as above

The Bachchans have been the top family and huge power players in Bollywood, in politics, with industrialists, and with the literary crowd because of AB and his parents long associations with various important and influential players for decades. The Bachchan's did not need Ash to make them shine as they have been shining for decades!
