STUNNING: Unseen photo from behind the scenes of Jodhaa Akbar
What a stunning picture from the masterpiece "Jodhaa Akbar"!!! Avinash Gowariker shot the picture. This is what he has to say on the photo..... "It’s a moment of great characterisation. This was taken for the photoshoot of Jodhaa Akbar. Shooting was nearly complete and we wanted to do the photoshoot. Ashu (Ashutosh Gowariker) said let’s do it on the sets. I do this for a living, but I must confess I was in awe of this shoot. Because Hrithik and Aishwarya as Akbar and Jodhaa – that is not going to happen again. So the sheer power of it was too much for me, and I enjoyed that. The other part of it was that I had seen the rushes of the film. Kiran Deohans had shot it. Nitin Desai did the sets and Ashu, the lighting. It had a look and feel which was absolutely phenomenal. I as a photographer had to match that and not on the sets either. It’s not film lighting. I have recreated this lighting with studio flash lights. So for me it was a huge challenge. When I took the shot on digital, Ashu and Kiran came and hugged me. This picture also symbolises the personalities of Hrithik and Aishwarya and not Jodhaa and Akbar. The calmness and confidence and the aura that Aishwarya has, and her beauty too, are obvious from the way she is looking into the mirror."

For me, they are still the best onscreen Bollywood couple, even after seeing many movies with other hit pairings...Ash and Hrithik have MAGIC. Period. I wonder if we'll get to see them ever again in a joint project. That would be colossal, but I don't have the highest hopes. :D
Trivia: the mirror belongs to Hrithik, I've seen him with it at other shootings too ;P

First of all, who in their crazy minds goes around counting negative and positive posts? (too much time on your hands?) Secondly, why do you have to pick the negative posters and shoo them away? Since when is Jodha Akhbar a masterpiece ? The movie was a SUPERHIT ... period Masala. It was not a masterpiece. It was not a classic. It wasn't even one of Bollywood's best love story's. How could you possibly call it a masterpiece and advertise what is simply a still of two stars in character as some sort of a "classic shot"? Do you think Jodha Akhbar is going to go down in the annals of Hindi Cinema's history, was it sent to the Oscar's, was its script even archived ? This film was no Mughl-e-Azam ... LMAOOO at this attempt at keeping stars in the news or an overzealous fan or whatever the hell this ridiculous post is an expression of.
The image is a pretty picture, nothing more. Appreciate it for colours and costumes ... not a pivotal moment in Bollywood time LOL

And how much readership does Pinkvilla have? A few thousands. But really if I was her PR I would get this printed in big newspapers like Times of india, hindustan times, mid-day and so on, which have like crores of readership.
wow!! wow wow! !you can keep looking at this picture and never get tired of it..its beautiful not only cause of its flawless subjects but as jodha and akbar hrithik and aish really created a masterpiece of indian cinema. no one could have done it justice like these two. their chemistry was tangible and their grace unmatchable. they simple are perfect when they come on screen together.
AND it had to be SUJATA who had to post this...NOT surprised at all......Ash hasn't been in ant positive news lately, so her PR Sujata had to dig hard and deep to find something from somewhere..
