They do look good together, but Asin needs to be just a few inches taller, like at least 5'5" to balance Akshay's tall height.
Its true about being south-indian and being conscious of everything coz that's how the south-indian mothers bring you up..its common amongst moms to say..dun laugh so much..dun show so much teeth etc etc.
Which is probably why Asin has that look..but i really don't think its about being "fake-ly" innocent or trying hard to protray a particular "type". Its how she is. So try to understand...she's just trying to make it, in a diff league of people and is conscious.
Asin is so pretty,very feminine unlike some other actresses who're taller than male actors.
how come asin manages to have great chemistry and share great rapport with all her co-stars.....even in south she was comfortable with every hero.....no doubt she is a blockbuster queen....

I m a south indian and I agree wid u completely.I have noticed d same.It could be cos we r not brought up as confident kids ( i mean it!) like u guys are....."Beta...aunt ko poem sunao" ,"Beta uncle ko woh karke dikhao" and all that "practice".....:D
If anyone were to ask why Punjabi women are so loud ,u can only blame it on the way they r brought up.Its no one's mistake ..its just the way we all are.

I AM NEITHER from south nor the north... but totally agree wid wht the south indian person said. its just upbringing. and regarding virginity... its no big deal to lose it... and the reason many north indian girls are not virgins before marriage too coz they hve frnds, companions, cousins who are not too.. so its kinda cool for them. the figures would be slighlty lower in south india i guess. but sooner even tht might fade. in the end... its all about places where u come frm, ur culture.. the way u hve been bought up !!!! so no need to generalise people.. no need to think tht all south indian actress pose with tht virgin face... they r jus clean at heart... tht shows on their face too... plus this is how they hve grown up... posing allways with a sweet smile n all....

LOL. I have noticed this with South Indian girls as well. I think it's because they are just very expressive. And to be frank, I prefer over the top Asin over expressionless Katrina and Sunny Leone ANY DAY.
Asin is the only actress from this event who looked like a dulhan. It really has nothing to do with her attire. Her feminine face and her smile and her comfort with her skin colour. I feel like very few women in Bollywood have this save for maybe Malaika Khan and Asin.
This couple was believable. If I didn't know any better, I would say Akshay was in love with her:)

hey anon below... did it occur to you that maybe South Indian women ARE actually like that??? these girls could be genuinely good and sincere from the inside, so it shows on their faces. it's a measure of bollywood and our society's larger fake attributes that when genuinely beautiful and good people (from the inside) come along, they're only seen as fakes and put-ons. SAD.

How can you stereotype south Indian girls like this? I'm south Indian, and that is seriously offending! Pls think about what you type when you draw a perception of a particular community.. Not everyone is the same!
Asin is a younger malaika arora khan. Both are sorta pretty, but pretty lifeless. Screen presence is not just there, although she does look pretty all dolled up.
In B wood its important for an actor to make a good pair wid an actress to create hits.
Like srk-kajol,dilip-madhubala,aamir-juhi,Big B - rekha,hema-dharam,rishi-neetu.
Acc to me Akshay is the most handsome but whenever he got a perfect costar for him he spoiled it by dating and dumping them .Akshay ,atleast this tym u dont do that.Asin looks gr8 with u.That masculine-feminine balance is shining thru ...hope this does good for both of u..good luck!!!
