Lifting plot lines, scenes and even dance sequences from old movies may be considered par for the course in Bollywood. However, what happens when a reputed filmmaker with multiple superhits to his name realizes that the plot of his movie is eerily similar to a recently released movie? It is back to the drawing board, definitely.

That is what seems to have happened with Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming "P.K.?". The movie was described by Hirani as a satire on God and Godmen. Rings a bell? Sure it does. It almost seems as if Rajkumar was describing not his own movie but a recently released super-hit movie starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.

Neither Rajkumar Hirani nor Aamir Khan are interested in proceeding ahead with a movie that seems as if it has been copied from another movie. This is why the script is being redrafted. Those on the inside say that the similarities in the plot are indirect but are impossible to miss.

The script rewrite will push shooting scheduled to start in October to late 2012 or early 2013 and delay the movie's release as well. The movie's publicist has denied the HT report.

Now now Raju bhai… work is worship and there is nothing wrong in taking more time to ensure your worship is 'completely original'.

Don't mind waiting for the sake of some originality.

OMG was fabulous!
I hope P.K. will be of the same league if not better..
and don't mind the wait... good luck Mr. Hirani, come up with an original script. :)

They both are overrated but i love their movies.

That's good. I wouldn't mind waiting another year or two for a great Hirani film.

Although I can't wait for Hirani's films, but I'd rather have him take time and produce a masterpiece. I haven't watched OMG yet but the reviews are raving and everyone's been saying how worthwhile it is. I adore Paresh Rawal. He is one of the most underrated actors in Bollywood despite the fact that he does absolute justice to his characters.

Can't wait for P.K. to come out. Probably won't happen till the end of 2013.

What's going on. This is the second time Amir Khan is sidelines by script similarity. Thalassh was pushed back for rewrite due to similarity to Kahaane
