well, this is not the first time Ali visited in any Darbar, but since now he is in limelight so everywhere he goes he is followed by the paps so we shouldn't judge him only Allah knows the truth of his heart its true that it is harm to ask anyone else for dua except Allah but there is nothing wrong to just visit any Darbar of holy person.

ali has a spiritual inclination, he must be really elated to visit the
place..what is wrong in going to a dargah when you desire something
in life?? it is your own preference...besides it is not a place to worship..
it is a scared place and we Muslims have a lot of regard and respect for it...
it is a good attempt and i appreciate it..if i could go to India i will visit this
dargah for sure...

Yes many people just go to these places for fame but I dont think this is the case here. Ali seems pretty genuine here! Not every1'z ideology is the same....
i agree with most of what "Sun, 2012-02-26 11:44 — Anonymous" has said here... Its not forbidden to visit a dargah as such, its a good thing to say prayer on any grave. But prayer should be for the dead person not for yourself... If you want to pray for yourself or family etc. then it should be directly from Allah/God and you should not involve any dargah etc.

this is SHIRK and not islamic! Muslims need to learn about Islam and follow TAWHID-the oneness of God

Visiting dargah by these so called actors/actresses has become somewhat of a fashion statement these days. Want your movie to be a hit, oh let's see let's head to the dargah/hindu temple etc. Worship should be done for the purpose of worship along not to make some x y z movie a hit! Seriously, world is in a crazy state at the moment, wonder what will happen next!
P.S. And no there is nothing "Mashallah" about this unless it was straight from the heart and for pure worship reasons. Having said that I'm sure visiting dargah's is frowned upon in Islam anyway (as far as my knowledge takes me) and that you should ask Allah directly and not via another medium such as this. I know I won't ever visit a dargah (though I respect it) but will only spread my hands and bow in front of Allah and Allah alone if I need anything!

so useless!!!!! there are people starving from poverty who need food to eat, i'm sure they must pray to god, but of course god is going to listen to the prayers of an actor so his movie becomes a blockbuster.
it's sad that now in order to make their movie a hit, actors/actresses end up doing indirect promotions by going to the temple/mosque..

I agree. It's quite sad. Also, if there would be any sort of prayer. Surely, it should be done in private without cameras? I mean if the intention is for prayer alone that is. I could be wrong and the intention might be completely authentic. Good luck.
