I think u have never travelled abroad. I used to wear thick jackets even in my early 20s while travelling from US to Bombay because it is so damn cold in the flights. And there is a huge weather difference between foreign countries and Bombay. It is so cold in Dec in US and hot and humid in Bombay.
Right now it is snowing in parts of Canada and chilly in London.
In fact I am surprised that why is he wearing such a thin windcheater kind of jacket?
At his age he will feel a lot colder than younger people. Older people lose muscle and fat to keep bodies warm.
