Big B & Yash Chopra at Lata Mangeshkar's birthday concert

The nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar celebrated her 82nd birthday receiving an award that has been named after her brother, Hridayanath Mangeshkar. Gracing this occasion was the Bollywood's icon himself, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Also present at the occasion was veteran director/producer, Yash Chopra. The evening saw a musical tribute to the singing legend.
Amitabh Bachchan later posted on his micro blogging site twitter, "Just back from decorating the Queen of Melody, Lata Mangeshkar ji with the Hridaynath Award .. an honor a privilege .. Lata Mangeshkar ji ... 82 years young today ... never before never after .. simply the best that ever was ..7 decades of song !!" He also added that Yash Chopra in his speech said that, "Lataji does not follow the music written for her, the music follows her".
