Here's the first look of Amitabh Bachchan in his Hollywood debut film, "The Great Gatsby". The Great Gatsby is an upcoming American romantic drama film adaptation of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name. It will be directed by Baz Luhrmann, and will star: Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan, and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway. Amitabh Bachchan as Meyer Wolfsheim and Brendan Maclean as Klipspringer are set to make their Hollywood debuts in this film. Filming began on September 5, 2011 in Australia. The film is set to be released in cinemas on December 25, 2012 by Warner Bros. Pictures. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am very excited to see this adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" on the big screen as I am an extremely huge fan of Leonardo Di Caprio. It will be even more amazing to see a legend of Hindi cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, in his first Hollywood film alongside some big Hollywood actors and I wish him all the best for his Hollywood debut.

Amitji doesn't need anyone's help not even Aishwarya's. He's a legend & was well known in the west even when Ash was not born. Hollywood should be honoured to get the opportunity to work with him.

I agree with anon below...amitabh is not a Hollywood wannabe...he is great and talented and he doesn't need a Hollywood film to prove how good and talented he is...I love Leonardo his films are always a pleasure to watch.

He is not attractive...he is EXTREMELY attractive which is why you feel his grand presence in a grand movie!

Good for the Big B. Hope he doesn't overact as he tends to do (sometimes!) Otherwise, I just love him...he is our best and needs no Hollywood certification for that. Though I am sure he is excited about doing something new...i wish him all the very best. An excellent artist is the great Big B.

This film is not Amithabh Bachchan debut in Hollywood..this is just a small gesture for a friend Baz Luhrmann. Baz and Mr. Bachchan are good friends so he ask AB to do a small comeo in The Great Gatsby. Stop saying Mr. Bachchan will not make it in Hollywood. He never tried to get into Hollywood in the firstplace!!.
