Can One Guess Jab Tak Hai Jaan's Plot From The Movie Trailor
The job of a film trailer is to make the viewer want to watch the movie. Well, those who cut Jab Tak Hai Jaan's trailer have certainly done their job well. The trailer give a sneak into the movie and raises more questions than it answers. So, what is the plot line of Jab Tak Hai Jaan? We see a lively and happy looking Shahrukh in London. He is seen dancing with Katrina, kissing her and even getting intimate. There is an accident scene from where Katrina walks away. There are sequences where she seems sad and grieving and we just cannot find out why. The army man Shahrukh looks older and has a tough and no-nonsense look. Seems as if Anushka lightens him up with her bubbly and cheerful nature because we see Shahrukh smiling into a camera when pushing her in a cart. He also is seen on a bike smiling when she is trying to take a snap. These scenes seem to be shot in Leh. Yet, nobody can say for certain what the movie is all about. Does Katrina's role has shades of gray? Why does she walk away from the accident then? Does she die? Or is Shahrukh upset with her betrayal? Why does Shahrukh leave the church with his bags? Is London just a long dream sequence? Did Shahrukh frolic around in London before or after becoming an Army Officer? Rajeev Masand has tweeted saying that SRK probably loses his memory and may be a waiter. A waiter who becomes an Army Officer? Or does he quit the Army only to become a waiter? Or is there a double role involved? Nothing seems certain and one just cannot wait for November 13 to find answers. Hope the Yash Chopra directed movie makes our wait worth it.

I think it about a man who meet Katrina, while they fall in love he get into a car accident and loose him memory. He them leaves his old life and joins the army. Khan seem a little bull and sad, until he meets anushka who bring fun and joy into his life. Khan and anushka then decide to leave the army and go to London where he meet Katrina again by accident. He starts to slowly get his memory back and slowly falls in love with her again. This make anushka very jealous and sad..... That all I'm guessing will happen. What ever the story is I'll watch it. The only issue I have with the film is Katrina, just cause she can't act but finger cross she does the film justice.... Would have like to see kajol in.stead

The story is about a nearly 50 yr old retired army man who has two daughters..he sent one of his daughters to london to study..while visiting her in london..he and the daughter had an accident in which the daughter died and he loses his memory....only his younger daughter in india can make papa happy and bring joy to his life AND ALSO MAKE HER PAPA TO GET HIS MEMORY BACK..can she be able to do that BY USING THE POEM HER PAPA USE TO RECITE TO HER WHEN SHE WAS A BABY..well find ur answer this diwali

After reading through the some comments and watching again closely, my plot follows (in simple words):
SRK an army officer in Ladakh - Anushka on a documentary in Ladakh - Anushka meets a boring serious army officer and brings him to life - Anushka takes him to London - While hanging out and taking him on a city tour, there's an accident in which SRK pushes Anushka to save her from the van fast approaching - But the van hits them both, and both are injured but saved - HERE, Anushka recovers OK BUT SRK loses his memory - AND, he gets clean shaven, becomes a guitarist, and meets a waitress Khushi (Kati) in London - He falls in Love with Kati and gets intimate - BUT, one day his memory is back, and he MUST choose from the TWO - WHO will he choose and what climax will that be? That's the END and would complete the story.
AND the poem is for ANUSHKA all the way.

I can not collect the pictures of the trailer together,it seems as there are two seperate stories but something I can notice when he was romancing kat they were in the street,it seems he was a street singer at the part of katrina ,I am excited about this movie

it's your typical love triangle. boy (in this case the boy is nearly 50 years old granpa)and girl meet they fall in love there's some betray in the relationship, boy is hurt leaves to start over meets a new girl, new girl falls for the boy but unfortunately for the new girl the love is not fully reciprocated. after a while boy crosses path with ex girl, old feelings are reignited..BOOM drama!he has a dilemma who to choose? it's a very common plot for indian cinema.
A BORING LOVE TRIANGLE.

I think Shah Rukh is the one who gets hit by the car and Anushka and Katrina live happily ever after....
yep....srk falls in love w. katrina....katrina plays him n leaves him.
then srk finds love again in anushka...but has a stuff time w. it cus he still feels for katrina.
Actually Barfi has set such high standard for what romance should be (I am talking for all three characters in the movie; RK, PC and ID) . Love is beyond showy clothes and plumed up lips...JTHJ has to really surprise me. And this is coming a SRK fan like me ...

Yuck! I hope he never does such mindless crap!!! Who cares about 100 cr when your movie won't be remembered a few months after its release and has an IQ of zero??? SRK does movies that will be remembered for generations and that are intelligent like himself, like Jab Tak Hai Jaan!
BTW, Ek Tha Tiger was first offered to him, but he said no!

1: Katrina dies in the accident & her spirit makes sure Shah gets on with his life with a new love, Anushka... .
2: Sha is the one with the accident, & Katrina makes a deal with God to stay away from him (ie sacrifice everything) if Shah is saved & doesn´t die:==> she leaves him & he gets another shot @ love in Anushka.
But one day they meet again, & DILEMMA!!!now a torn Shah has to choose, because he got all the answers from her...

This post is becoming a comic STORY of some jokers trying to guess the story. Save your brain cells from destruction and watch it on 13th November 2012!!!
Why do people criticise SRK for playing romantic heroes? He's done many other roles and has left his legendary marks on them like Chak De India, My Name is Khan, Darr, Baazigar, Don, Swades, and so many more. He's an amazing actor and has a unique talent.
I wish SRK would do something like Ek Tha Tiger and Bodyguard.
Confusing trailer where they nicely mix up scenes with both heroines. I'll save my brain from thinking up of a story :)...and I like the suspense of not exactly knowing what to expect. From the bare bones I can guess, Kat's in his life, and then they separate. Then Anushka comes in. In Barfi, before I watched it, I wasn't very sure who Ranbir would end up with...Jhilmil or Shruti, but here I can take a guess. But who knows right? Some films can always surprise you.
Ok this is it 100%. SRK who plays samar in the movie is part of the army...bomb disposal duties. He is very introvert and full of pain. This shows clearly that something awful must have happened in his life...the accident in the trailer is the major thing happened. He is sad and meets muskaan. Muskaan is played by anushka sharma. Muskaan is shooting for a wildlife channel in the dangerous kashmir areas. She is talketive..bubbly...loud and fun. She brings happines back in srk samars life. Muskaan and samar become good friends and muskaan starts to fall in love. This is when muskaan asks samar why he is in soo much pain...this is where the major flashback takes place. Katrina kaif gets introduced as a waitress in london by the name khushi. Khushi is a mysterious sweet shy girl.Srk tells anushka about the love between them and what went wrong. The accident could well be part of this flashback...while i dont believe so cuz the trailet shows anushka also present at the site of the accident. Muskaan wants samar to go back to london and start his live again as a musician.they are best friends..not a typical couple though. After spending time in london samar also falls in love with muskaan...soon after this katrina emerges..but srk hates her for what she has done in the past. The drama starts!!!

and he needed an actress (luck charm )star who can make it a hit and also can dance in frozen weather wearing bra and short skirt ...;)
and anushka is just an accessory who wearing the shortest shorts..:s
and every body think she is great actress b/c its Bollywood ...;o

Ok..this is my take on the story....the first scene shot in london was a wedding scene....katrina was seen in a white dress. So srk marries kat. I have watched the trailet very carefully...and its srk and anushka walking infront of the car van. Srk pushes anushka...because of the angle you cant really see wether srk is savibg anushka or not...but anushka gets hospitalised because of this. Katrina is tgr o e who did thus...the shy sweet sexy waitress played by katrina is actually a vamp!! In the teailer yiu see srk walking out the church bruised...so even srk got hurt. Kat in the vamp!!!!! Post this
