Spotted! Atif Aslam at O2 in London
Atif Aslam, the Bollywood singer, behind songs like Tere Liye from Prince, Piya O Re Piya from Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Tu Jaane Na from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani rocks the O2 in London. His special head gear, was created by his brother, especially for the O2, to match his rockstar image and persona. This photo was taken backstage, after the show, with Ashanti OMkar from BBC Publishing, who worked as a consultant on the Dhamaka 2012 show that he headlined. The O2 in London is the world's biggest and most famous music venue, where AR Rahman performed in 2010, and the Bachchan clan did the 'Unforgettable' show there in 2008. Atif Aslam makes history as the first Pakistani singer to perform at this coveted venue, joining the likes of Prince and the late Whitney Housten and Michael Jackson, whose 'This is it' tour was to take place and Jackson practiced there before his sad demise. Joining Aslam in a 10,000 strong screaming crowd, were UK's most popular dance troupe, Bolly Flex, led by choreographer Leena Patel. To — fashion_maven , First of all why would you think that he is insulting the native Americans by wearing that headgear. AT what point has he actually made fun of them or said anything insulting towards them?
So please dont assume things and start throwing offensive comments towards others.
As for other poeple wearing clothes or headgears is suppose to be a compliment to that culture not an insult unless the person wearing it makes fun of those clothes etc, which obviously Atif Aslam never did. In fact he looked lovely on the night with his beautiful head gear... and may he continue to do so :)))
so if you really see something wrong with it , its you who needs to get your twisted mind sorted, i cause i dont know what or how you found this offensive...

I get what you are saying but I highly doubt he intended it as a mockery. Not only Native Americans, many other cultures in this world have quite the bloody history. For example, the Irish, or the Zoroastrians/Parsis dating back to earlier years. But in modern media, whether they are soap operas or films, these people are depicted to add to the comedy. Heck, even Indians are mocked in Western media although they have suppressed for hundreds of years under European rule.

how come he is mocking native American culture by wearing a tribal hat? do you know even meaning of mock? people wear native tribal hats to appreciate the native culture not to make fun of it.

If you really think there isn't anything wrong with mocking people's culture, then there isn't anything for me to say to you, other than good luck with that frame of mind. Also, Native Americans have had an insanely bloody and tragic history, so anyone with even an ounce of education would steer clear of mocking them.

Whats wrong with that? he can theres no law against it. Also what about all those hindi movies mocking other ppls culture? Robot...with ash in brazil? Last i checked she wasnt from any local tribe there?
