Bipasha Basu was the Celebrity Face of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon which was held this year on 30th September 2012. I was working as a Public Relations (for Media, PCs, International Ambassador) volunteer at the Media Centre with the event promoter PROCAM INTERNATIONAL. It was during this time I came across Bipasha Basu, with her being a prominent part of the entire event.

Being part of the media industry and freelancing for quite some time now, I have met quite a few celebrities till date. I am not one person who get overly excited seeing a "star" and have never itched to get myself snapped with them. It's no ego or attitude, just work ethics for me.

However coming across Bipasha at the event was a total 360 degree turn around of my likings. I have always thought of her as the most fit actress in Bollywood and a reasonably good actor who has not really got the right roles to challenge her. But meeting her made me go kinda crazy as her first sighting made me stand still and keep staring at her for quite some time. I could not even concentrate on my work but irritatingly did for work is work. :)

She is super sexy and really beautiful. She did have makeup on but I think that was well in normal limits. Very athletic and physically fit body and yet feminine. And she has really beautiful eyes.

This has been the first ever time I took out my mobile phone and clicked a star...though i could not get enough guts to leave my work and ask her for a snap with me. But its okay. I will keep on working good in my field and someday I might. :-)

On a side note, for the lasting impression she made on my mind...I kept thinking of a role that will be perfect for her and only for her.

The very awesome Clint Eastwood's MILLION DOLLAR BABY with the Oscar winning performance of Hillary Swank came rushing in my mind. And then I later thought...it will be the best casting if Bipasha plays Ace Manipuri boxer and Olympic bronze medalist M C Mary Kom in her biopic which is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

I think she is perfect in term of physical fitness and will do well in a challenging role.
What do you think of this casting??

I agree. Bips is awesome. And actually she has genuine fans.. if you watched app ki adaaalt you'd notice that in the end.. every single person in the audience ran up to her to talk to her.. I didn't see that for any other celeb.

And she had definitely stunned me in Raaz 3. She was flawless in every scene.

More power to her. I like her groundedness..her solid sense of self. I like the inner, quiet confidence she projects.

That was a good read. I hope Bipasha reads this :)
I've always loved Bips! I've thought she was grounded and real from the get go. I met her at the Pearson airport in Toronto once and she had no airs. She was SO nice and down to earth and spoke to my cousin and I for quite some time. She deserves all the praises she's been getting lately, after Raaz 3. She is such a genuine person, she deserves to be happy.

I agree with this! I remember going to one of the Bollywood concerts around 9 years ago in Toronto and most of the actresses who came (I think Amisha Patel was one) were barely distinguishable from the background dancers although Amisha is pretty as well. But Bipasha had the stage presence that even the male actors could not hold. She almost has an aura around her. She keeps it real in her personal life as well.
