As per Box office India, Department had a 'disastrous' opening week. The collections at multiplexes were extremely low though the single screens were better. Released in 44 theatres in Delhi, it managed to collect just 55 lakhs.

As per critics, average performances, same-old-story, and lousy direction apparently leave the audience asking for more.

Has anyone here watched it? What did you think of the movie?

I've not heard a single good review about this film. It bombed at the box office and Sanjay even stated that he is not planning to work with RGV anymore.

I Watched the movie only for rana, the direction of the movie just blown my eyes, the direction is very bad i don't know why RGV does like this ?

disgusting movie, by the looks of it. THE CHEAP AND VULGAR ITEM# was such a turnoff. Am glad ppl refused to see it. Ramu, time to get a life and stop objectifying women.
