I'm sorry but you're confusing your readers or you are confused yourself! Your sentences sound mixed up, you speak about her acting skills and then you say her contemporaries were far more gorgeous. Last time i checked an actor/actress would be judged on their acting skills and not their looks. Hell, you could be the ugliest looker but the best actor. But yeah, you don't make sense.

"Its funny how people get misty-eyed and are all praises for someone who dies. Further, if someone dies before their time and under mysterious circumstances, then everything about them gets colored rosy." -

What is your problem. I have seen her movies myself and as far as I can recall she was a good dancer and actor. Her acting was a hundred thousand times better than what passes of as acting now-a-days and lot of people at that time like her for her acting skills. What she could have been is out of the question as she sadly never lived long enough. But she did have the potential. I get the fact that you do not like her as an actor but that is no reason to make such undignified comments about a person who is long gone and away from all this unnecessary malice. A word of advice, if you have nothing good to say about a dead person than just let her rest in peace and don't spread negativity. Its not worth it.

I remember I was in school when Divya fell to her death. It was shocking news of course. However just because she died, it didn't change my perception of her acting skills or how she looked. She was average looking and hardly exceptional. Contemporaries like Sri Devi were by far much more gorgeous.

I am old enough to remember her death. I was 11 when she died in 1993 at the age of 19. Poor girl. It was the biggest breaking news back then and no one could believe such a young, beautiful girl with everything going for her died so young!
She looked mature than her actual years and was absolutely beautiful even in the horrendous early 90's clothing.
There were many gossips surrounding her; her beauty, controversial marriage to a much older muslim guy and her general naiveté all contributed to it.
One particular story I read about her is still in my mind. Few days before her death, it was reported that she held a Jagnya in her house in which the priest blessed her with super success in her career and she spent the entire night 'naked' in a room concentrating on her yoga, or something like that! After her death, it made me wonder how such insightful priest could not predict her imminent death or at least huge set back to her health. Now who knows the the validity of this 'news' published in a Indian gossip mag back in the days of no internet.
Her death was shady and no one believed that she simply fell to her death. Sajid was the most hated person in India for quite a long time after her death.
She did make a huge impact in her very brief acting period, so that we all remember her 19 years after her death.

Before making silly comments like that. You should watch the star news interview of her family and how close her parents and Sajid Nadiadwala are and how they are still very close.

She seems to resemble parineeti a little

She was so young and beautiful and such a budding talent. There is a childlike innocence in this picture. Its sad that she had to die so young.

on one side u say rest her in peace dont dig her up and on the other side u r saying such bad words.
posting a pick wont disturb her peace but ur words will.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

I said no bad words about her...I am only telling you what the whole indusrty taught of during the 90s. Even the media had a difficult time with her. Divya Bharti had problems with Directors, Producers, Actor, Actresses, and everyone else during her time in Bollywood.
