I would love to own those pants and blazer and everything too, but I just got a Deepti Pruthi saree for my cousin's wedding from perniaspopupshop and I cannot afford anything else from her website for a while now. Heh.

@anon ya of course designer clothes will be expensive. But its better to buy one good outfit rather than 5 mediocre ones, or its better to buy 1 good designer outfit and then save up for a bit. If I go to hm or zara my bill is alwaysss over a $150. Sometimes it crosses $200 and it's not even something I need, i just like to shop for the heck of it. I dont have a problem, i earn, so i can spend it. But if you think about it, if I dont go to zara once and dont spend like 200 bucks there, I can afford a masaba camera print blazer/jacket. So you gotta think of it like tht. or if I buy a $400 saree, I just wont go shopping for a bit so it gets compensated

I love her name. Its so unique and beautiful.
I think Pernia Qureshi is an inspiration. Her father is Moin Qureshi, a very successful Delhi-based meat exporter, but she is so accomplished on her own as well. She is a trained kuchipudi dancer under Dr. Raja Reddy, and is so amazingly graceful. It doesn't matter how wealthy your father is; if you want to be a good dancer, you need to put the hours in to perfect your art. I think she studied law/pre-law and English lit at GWU in Washington DC.
I really admire how she balances the pursuing an ancient art form (classical dance) and also something quite modern, high fashion; and is so successful in both. Pernia's Pop-Up Shop may be modeled after Net-a-Porter, but she has done such a good job with it. Love you Pernia!

By the looks of her and her mother and the kind of clothes she is wearing,she must come from a very well to do family. You can just tell by looking at her mom that her family must be quite rich. Does anyone know her background? Like what her Dad or Mom do? I know about pernia's pop up shop but other than that also I feel she has comes from a rich family. Is her Dad some kind of a business man? Her mom is very gracious.
I dont like how she looks in the fuschia dress. She has a small frame, and she would look great in better fitting dresses. The rest are good.
