Right, Pinto accent was fake as hale and both interviews she appeared very fake to make. Sh eis awlay nice with americans, in India, acts like she is angelina jolie lol. Elijah was wonderin who the hell is this chicks and whats with her fake accent. Pathetic white wannabe.
SrK speech at Yale was good. Nice and clear. Pinto tries so hard to sound like the Queen of England at times. She looks and sound stupid. She is at best a c list actress In Hollywood.

I am an american...a cocasion by the way. And I find SRK's English is totally fine and clear. He is actually quite respectful and intelligent man...and who ever watch his speech at Yale were so impressed and complimented his witty yet clever thoughts behind such speech. Shame on you for talking rubbish about a man who make us think differently about the Indian mentality. He is a natural sponitineous speaker and we can differe between the one who speaks rubbish and the one who speaks his mind. But I guess the joulesy within the Indian people is so huge that they are talking none sense about their famous people. Dragging another name in a conversation just to insult him..Dissguesting.

Umm, her fake accent makes me uncomfortable.
i find Saif and Aishwarya,SRK to have to correct Indian accent, normal (urban desi) way of speaking. British accents are alien to India. Sounds un-natural.
It's painful to hear SRK speak. He is so verbose. And so it Ash. When he got stopped at the US airports and was interviewed I doubt the average American person knew what he was trying to say. At that time it was a great opportunity to say something against racial profiling but he used so many words to make a simple point.....Same with his speech at Yale. He was trying to be funny....but he came across as angry and bitter. Sorry SRK fans.....not hating on him but he does get caught up in his own pomposity.
I think Freida's accent works because it's consistent and she does not get verbose. She is the urban modern Indian who has learned to play the game on the global stage.

Why are people complaining abt her accent, she has a British boyfriend, so interacting with him, his accent has rubbed off on her! My husband is American and talking to him I tend to take on his American accent, it's just natural! Atleast her accent is constant it does not switch continents,I just don't get it how Ash keeps switching accents!

She is very smart to learn British accent.....Americans love that accent and find it sexy. Indian accent is seen as comical and won't get you far in Hollywood. Not looking down on Indian accent. That's the reality.

I am not Freida fan...but I have something to her rescue to the ppl who r commenting on her fake accent....She always admits that she has worked on her accent because when she used to speak with her Indian accent in hollywood, ppl used not to understand her, she said that's why she trained her accent with an accent trainer...it has nothing to do with that she doesn't like her Indian background...

I really like her and it is really good to see that this movie has gotten a very good response from the critics. But her accent is turn off given I am british and I can't who is faking it and who is not
She is awesome! Of course her accent is going to change. Everyone complains that Katrina needs to get rid of accent but when it is someone's accent changes it is end of the world.

Her accent change is because she had a teacher for that purpose. Would be a waste of money if she didn't have one now.
Frieda Pinto deserves every this.. She's so hard working! What I like about her is that inspite of appearing on magazine covers all over the world, All the top TV shows & working with some of the best directors her PR people dont go announcing it & trying to gain unnecessary publicity for it.. Unlike Aishwarya Rai where the media made such a big deal about her every small international appearance which is hardly anything compared to Freida's

I think people need to stop fixating on her accent and move past that and listen to what she says, shes down to earth, charming, and personable and I frankly couldn't care less if she was speaking in a Russian accent.

The only Indian who is more popular in the west for her indianess and Indian looks. No wonder all the plastic bw bimbos are green with envy! Frieda did it on her without the powerful backing of superstars to piggyride and flatter them. she is self made in every sense unlike others who claim so. More power to Frieda.

Smart, pretty, doesn't blab, appears poised and in control, has changed her accent very quickly (considering she grew up in India and has been in the UK for only a few years) - but at least she is consistent with the accent, dresses up stylishly and tastefully - so, what's not to love. All the every best Freida hope you continue doing well. Though I find Aishwarya Rai more beautiful can't help but make a comparison here since the two ladies have had the most exposure for an Indian celeb abroad (female) and must say that Freida leaves Ash faaaaaaaaar behind with her poise and personality (and the lack of the horrrrrrrrrible Ash-giggle!)
