Who voted for her? I have never seen ANY magazine that voted her most beautiful until she had herself called "most beautiful" on 60 Minutes.
She never called herlsef the most beautiful woman. Oprah and, Miss world pagent, countless celebs, 60 minutes proclaimed her most beautiful. MW pagent actauly did name Rai as their most beautiful MW winner.
Freida being dumb though actaully dissed Aishwarya and said that she is the most famous Indian aborad. LOL. This dumb--- isn't even a household name in US. Kal Penn and Kunal Nayyar are more well known then her and same with Archie Panbaji. Freida is still reffered to as Slumdog actress. If I were to tell people about Freida Pinto, they will ask who and if I mention Slumdog, then they wil remember, otherwise who gives a rats a-- about her? She is sooooo boring in the face and can't act to save her life She in't worth talking about or follwed. A Z list celeb lol. BTW Freida doesn't fit US beauty. We still like our Angelinas and Scarjo over her. Sorry buts that true.

Why do people keep bringing up Aishwarya's beauty pagent title (which was in 1994, 18 years ago) and her skin tone? She is a beauty regardless of skin tone or her pagent title. You people need to calm the heck down. There is no proof that she has done sugeries, why? because she won miss world 18 years ago! Of course her looks have changed! People do age within 18 years. We don't stay young forever.

Honestly FP has a different kind of beauty than Aishwarya. It's like comparing orange to an apple. Also you can find aishwarya's eyes almost everywhere in the west and so only eyes cant be prerequisite to judge beauty. FP has a good personality and she has a degree from St Xaviers which is a good liberal arts school in India. Also after seeing Aishwarya before1994 i.e her pageant days I would not call her the most beautiful. Especially that miss world video she looked scary with those lips, teeth and nose and she was so fake. Someone below saying Sonakshi being Indian beauty come on you have to be kidding with that huge nose and forehead. Our Indian beauty standards and opinions are so skewed up like big eyes and big, long nose are considered pretty but in the US some people find it to be scary. May be Freida is not phenomenal beauty but she has class and she fits the western beauty standards especially with those killer cheek bones and almost perfect nose and teeth. Also she is very small for our Indian liking. PV hopefully you post this.
If Aishwariya was fake while 94 miss world competition why did they choose her to win ? The only reason may be you were not present with you valuable analysis in that judge panel?She was considered the most beautiful miss world ever by the organizer of Miss world competition.That does mean something and those people knows that what kind of eyes are found in west and so does oprah..still they say it countless time..oh those eyes..But they must be deluded cause they havent seen west through your eyes.
FP is just exotic for west..she doesnt fit their standard..Hollywood beauties are tall with great figure..she doesnt have anything except a indian face and an oscar fiml in her resume.
aishwarya corrected her teeth with veneer gaps are filled, aishwarya uses contacts to enahnce her eye colour which is dark originally , aishwarya s nose and face is corrected in every shoot or say appearance ,aishwarya s brown skin (as she comes on the screen being fair indian!!!) is lightened thru makeup photosho whereas she is as brown as any indian on the street not close to being fair and i can type many more ....is this person the most beautiful? you must be joking...it is just her and her teams game over the years imposition of society after a beauty pageans by the way i havent seen any miss world anywhwre who exploited this tag so much and who has acted as if she were the most beautiful while she isnt ...how ridiculous aishwarya s make believe game and you society liked it because you also wanted to believe in her fairness game over the years

Aishwariya never was brown as fp or dipi although she would still be same pretty.Her eyes were always green blue(check out her childhood photo)It is not about her fairness.she is just beautiful in every single possible way.its such a shame even comparing her with this average looking overrated girl with brit accent.

Aishwariya was Miss world-94.She made us proud when she was only 18 but hey bollywood didnt just took her seriously because of her miss world tag.it took 6-7 years until devdas was released and she was finally accepted as an serious actress.Before devdas and hum dil de chuke she couldnt compete with dusky beauty kajol and rani infact everyone was calling her bimbo.She proved herself in bollywood and hollywood.She has maintained her dignity and she made me feel proud of her.Aishwariya is not only very pretty but she is great dancer and watch her movie with good direcotr like bansali,mani ratnam,rituporno(chokher bali,raincoat)..she has always proven herself with them.Today she has billions of fan..because of her 20 years of dedication and hard work.If you want to call bimbo you can call katrina by that name..she doesnt deserve what she is having in Bollywood .

When it comes to freida she was very lucky with SM,west go indian her over her indian look and I dont see her as a good actress.She is a natural beauty but she is very average looking.I love her skin color but she is very short and her figure is just not attractive..no bust no boobs short neck .only legs are good.I think she is cute and pretty but I dont consider her one of the most beautiful..its just a joke.

I think Freida's pretty (and I've seen her in person, in fact), but just FYI, to everyone gushing over Freida's immaculate beauty (ooohh, those lips, those cheekbones, that jawline) please keep in mind that this is a picture that's been PhotoShopped to the Moon and back.

This is not a comparison between Aishwarya and Freida and thei skin complexion. Aishwarya too I don't think has achieved GREATLY in hollywood. If Aishwarya is better of doing substantial roles in India rather than those 15 mins appearances in hollywood flicks. Although, Aishwarya has done some full-length roles in Bide and Prejudice as well as Mistress of Spices-those are not mainstream hollywood. I don't think either of these actresses have greatly achieved anything Hollywood.

This is besides the cover of the maganize but people who are saying Freida was a part of a blockbuster hollywood film -The Rise of the Planet of the Apes and praising her, surely, did you see her all 15 mins of her act? She "appeared" in the movie but not "main content" of the movie. I'm not talking about her beauty or talent, but people's claim her being a part of a "hollywood blockbuster" is foolish in the sense that she was there just for a few mins. Your claims are working against Freida in that sense. Why is it that if any Indian-origin person gets even a 2 min role in some hollywood flick, people start praising him/her? Why do people have to glorify this? If I were to be an actress, I'd rather work in a film in which I have a substantial role to show my true abilities and not just show up for a few mins. That does very little to add to my credibility as an actress. This is not a comment against Freida but people who try to hype her up but end up sounding foolish.
Exactly. Appearing in movies for 5, 15 mins(and getting bad feedback for your acting) does not credit you as an actress. And I would say that Indians like Kal Penn have gotten better roles(not harold and kumar) but he was a regular on House and has appeard in some independent movies which have recieved good reviews for his acting. Kunal Nayyar is on the Big Bang Theory and is extreamly talented. I would say they have it better then her right now. And it's only person prasing Freida on PV and other sites. I see the same kinds of comments on other sites and it's really pathetic how they are trying so hard to make indians look bad and like Freida was the victim of being the girl who a rejected repeatdly in bollywood and now some hot shot actress( which she is not) in hollywood.

This is an Indian magazine publising that Freida is the most beautiful. Not many magazines anywhere else in the world, have such strong proclamation. Generally it will be a pole and the public get to choose. However, it is not given such an importance because most of the women chosen to be on top of that list are generally accomplished women loved by many. So if you want, in other magazines, it is a combination of popularity, people connecting with that individual, their acting skills and other such attributes that appeal to people. In India, there is a trend not just in the film and show biz industry but also engrained in people of this "most beautiful", "most deserving", "most talented" etc. phenomenon. In families, in workplaces, award ceremonies and all such statements are used. In my opinion this is terribly flawed and unfair towards other people who may be equally deserving. It is like saying that if somebody does not conform with one particular group of people's view, then this person cannot make it in life.
Freida is beautiful, Aishwarya is beautiful, and other ladies, they are beautiful. Beauty standards change throughout time, culture and countries. It is totally sujective.

Aishwarya is blessed with the most beautiful face. But you Ash fans have to agree she has let herself go and ruined herself by becoming obese. Now young and fit Freida is more beautiful than Ash. Like it or not, that is true. The only way this can change is if Ash loses weight which is never going to happen because she is almost 40 and they cant lose weight easily at that age

Ok people they cant keep choosing Aishwarya Rai year after year. Thats pretty lame. Freida is a gorgeous strong independent woman. She has had far more roles in actual hollywood films than any other actress of Indian descent and more props to her for achieving that. People in India just worship Aishwarya for her light skin and light colored eyes and Im not saying she isn't absolutely gorgeous. I know lots of girls in the states who envy Freida good looks and amazing skin. She actually is a natural beauty and in this day and age people only want artificia:)
How is finding Freida beautiful equivalent to letting West dictate beauty standards? Freida's looks are more representative of majority of Indians. Freida's beauty is very Indian.
