Freida Pinto’s heading to Cannes
Credits:DNA INDIA While there have been speculations about Freida attending the festival, her spokesperson sets the record straight. “Freida Pinto will be attending and walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival to be held from 16 to 27 May this year. This will be her second time at Cannes. She will be there supporting the brand she endorses. She is looking forward to the festival this year and hopes to have a good time.” While the day on which Freida makes her appearance is yet to be decided, sources close to her insist that she will be walking the red carpet on May 17. The actor, who is currently in Los Angeles,will fly to Cannes directly from there. However, contrary to reports that suggest that boyfriend, actor Dev Patel will accompany her to the film festival, sources say that she will be making a solo appearance. “Freida would have loved to have Dev accompany her, but unfortunately that is not possible. Dev is busy with his commitments, and can’t adjust his dates for Cannes. And since Freida is the face of the brand, she will walk the red carpet alone.”

To the comment way down below, I'm NOT even an Ash fan, but honey I can guarantee you that Freida is definitely NOT internationally more well known than Rai. Regardless of whether Loreal has "replaced" her with Freida, Rai still is and likely will always be more well known.

they both are not pretty or can even act. they are like the indian houseviews reality tv show stars. losers
All the no talents get Loreal contracts(Aish,Sonam,Freida,J-Lo,Beyonce,etc). Stars like Angelina Jolie can make money through their talent and skills, not rely on a petty makeup brand to make ends meets like these untalented sellouts. And Freida Pinto and the rest of the gang are getting invited because of Loreal. Otheriwse nobody would even invite their untalented asses to such an event. When you start inviting crap like that to Cannes, the festival becomes a joke.
She's been very daring and bold on the red carpet recently. The whimsical Prada racing car outfit and the Gucci red suit. I hope she'll go all out at Cannes. She must wear color.....maybe the Latika chartreuse yellow green. I don't like her in neutral colors. It would be nice to see her walking with Sonam and Fan Bing Bing.....the younger ambassadors of L'oreal. I hope Ash wears a sari or a beautiful anarkali.........more befitting her post mom figure and age.
