What makes you so sure that all the haters or detractors as you call them are all Ash fans? Do somethimg more productive rather than policing around and writing long essays on websites. Goes to show you have nothing better to do but vent anger and hatred towards anyone who doesn't like you fav star. You still havesn't changed the way to you write btw.

and as to which stars are important and which are not.. well... she's just starting out (no more or less hungry than anyone who always wanted to be a star)--- and since when did stars become these 'important creatures'. they're about like everyone else, except they're famous and often rich.

that's a bit harsh. she's no less or more shrewd than any starlet who is riding high post her Oscar film... what makes her different from Penelope , Salma, Eva, et all? It's not her fault the paparazzi is following her around.. is she paying them to do this??
freida pinto must have a good PR , she is fame hungry like how all new stars get , so her PR must be tipping off these paparazzi people , she isn't anyone important in Holywood and these paparazzis don't have a steady income , so if they were to get tips from celebrites PR , they will gladly take it. penolope cruz , salma hayek are already famous and they can act which is why this are still getting movies offers , miss freida though doesn't know how to act and people are soon going to find this out. her and dev acting all lovey-doevy infront of the camera man looks pathetic and really most of their pictures freida is always looking into the camera,checking to see if the pcitures have been taken , not dev.

If she was really really shrewd, she would never own up to Dev Patel as her bf, hide him in the wings, and date the Hollywood upcoming big stars who could promote her big time and get better publicity. she could have done that... now that's shrewd~!

Okay I strongly doubt this critic has been to india or watched any of the movies. American are very ignorant people. So they see someone like Freida Pinto , who at best average and decleare her the most beautiful girl in all of india is stupid. I am sorry but Freida is very very average and no she does not look like a labour worker but she does not look like some woman in a picasso painting either. This guys himself is ignorant. Angelina , Aishwarya , Marilyn , Halle , are all what I would call beauties , and Freida does not belong in their catorgory of looks. She is wayyy out of their league and it shows.

(by the way, Katrina may not have the best features, but she's a pretty woman with a sweet face too-- anyone who says she's made it based on her color is missing Kat's smile big time.). Same with Freida, her smile is so nice... Both Kat and Freida are pretty in such different ways..
I love her nose.....it's not long and witchy looking. Perfect length for her face shape and balances her other features. That's what you call a symmetrical face. It looks like it was made to measure.

she was never a slummer.. and in fact , came from a rather upper middle class background.. well travelled and well schooled.
looking natural (less makeup, etc.) really shows off her bold confidence. she's not afraid of being labelled ordinary or averge.. though she does have very sharp features and really is not all that average.
she could have taken the hair-color-eye-contact and tons of paccake to look glam-glam (it doesn't take a lot to look glam actually)-- but it would not have been her.. it would not have worked for her.
good choice in going natural. it won't work for everyone- you need sharp features for that. really sharp.

To each is own...... a lot of Indian-origin people (nri and form India) think she looks like an average person coming from the wrong side of town.. a fruit seller, domestic worker .. etc. etc-- because that's what they grew up with and associate that as 'ordinary'. One of our friends say-- if you take the nephews here from NYC to Delhi, likewise, they mistake a lot of the biggest UP/Delhi belles who are considered great catches and beauties vyying to catch millionaires, as so-so and looking like common plain-jane cafeteria workers in their universities. so it's all relative.
Want proof that beauty is relative to someone's tastes? Here is what a reviewer said about Freida, in Trishna. Simply put, he thought she was too upper-crust looking to play a rural type of girl:
"Her looks make her an easy casting choice, but hers is an aristocratic beauty: she doesn’t look cut out for manual labour, or even waiting tables."
She does look chic, but she's no more interesting than most young "starlets" in Hollywood. Shallow, opportunistic and uninteresting. But she certainly seems to be loving the lifestyle and the financial perks that come with it.

kim kardashian comparisons seriously? shes a reality tv star whose mainly famous for whoring out her personal life to the public much like some certain bollywood actresses who make news for their hook ups, break ups, marriages, child birth, method of child birth etc because their movies never get that kinda fascination, kim is more aptly compared to those actresses than freida who keeps her life private in a place like hollywood where its so easy to get attention just by baring it all.
