It is rare to see grown-ups reacting to a song like children. But that’s exactly what the case was when the media and more than 100 school principles heard the promotional song of the Children’s Film Society, India’s film Gattu for the first time. Laga le pech is a song, sung by Shubha Mudgal and the child artists of Gattu, written by Ankur Tiwari and Rajan Khosa and music by Sandesh Shandilya; that celebrates the spirit of the film. The song was showcased after a brief panel discussion about Cinema in Education at PVR Juhu in Mumbai on 6th July 2012. The panelists were Chairperson CFSI Nandita Das,Gattu’s director Rajan Khosa, Vice Chairperson CFSI Kavita Anand and filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra. Also present on this occasion were Rajan Khosa and Sandesh Shandilya. This panel discussion was a part of the school outreach program organized by CFSI and President Poddar Education Network Swati Popat Vats was present to moderate the panel discussion.
