i am sorry...aishwarya is a wondeful actress, i dont think so she cannot act to save her life

Anonymous's picture

shes beautiful, love the makeup :)

Anonymous's picture

Aha! The way she said it she did not mean it, look at the fakeness all around, the eyes flickering and all that. She really did not like the Q and did not want to answer..

i really cant understand the hype about this aishwarya rai and i cant understand how she became miss world with that ordinary looks south india has much better girls than this typical aishwarya-dark skin dark eyes dark curly hair (her natural looks/features)

in south india there are a lot more beautiful girls who naturally have brown hair and light eyes there are ladies who are porcelain white compared to aishwarya she is just lucky and rich to get the good PR at that time who made this ordinary indian golden child of the media

...sorry I didn't complete my thought :). As I was saying, not that Kareena is really praising Ash here, but at least she's calling Ash a talented icon.

I heard what she said but it seems that this is not what she meant to say. Anyone out there know about micro expressions and body language involved in communication. See words represent about 8% of communication, the rest are non verbal queues. And her non verbal queues here (to put it in less technical and more simple words) show that she was uncomfortable saying what she was saying about Aishwarya. The whole thing of who is number 1 etc to me is deranging. What is this culture of comparing and judging and giving numbers?! Sheer disrespect to them. They are actors, Bollywood is big enough to cater for them and end of the story

oye before teaching us about verbal and nonverbal "queues" at least learn how to spell. it is "cues" not "queues". you just ruined your credibility on this subject by not even using the right word.

I like it when fellow actors praise one another. I have never heard Ash speaking highly of other female costars from her generation.

as many say that ash is arrogant. it is true and i agree. ash bachan is too full of herself. even when she worked on devdas with iconic madhuri dixit she had never even mentioned or praised madhuri.

its nice of her to compliment Ashwariya but what does two different generations means between them ?

agreed.

Aanchal Munjal is such a sweet and pretty girl. I really enjoying watching her in the show 'Parvarish'. She has a simplistic beauty to her.

@Mystic Rose: I did say "GENERALLY" (re-read my post) moreover, 16 years is almost 20 years + Sridevi can convincingly play Kareena's mother in reel life + give birth to her in real life ( if she got pregnant at 16). Aishwarya could not at age 7 have given birth to Kareena, it's biologically impossible. The former has to be able to reproduce the latter = new generation.

Anonymous's picture

Well Ash had started her career at 1991 by doing modelling, ads etc, then miss world 1994 and then acting 1997 onwards... Kareena started at 2000 so obviously she has to respect Ash. I have noticed that Kareena doesnt mock Aishwarya as she does with other actresses like Katrina,Priyanka, bipasha,Amisha,Esha Deol,Vidya balan,Sonakshi etc!

Anonymous's picture

If I was Kareena I would have not praised Aishwarya at all considering the circumstances. I find she always has imense inner strength whether she praises her boyfriend when she broke up with him at an award function and praising Aishwarya. If it were me I would not speak highly about both. The way she keeps her respectability tells me how much immense strength she has. She never talks ill of them, if I were her I honestly would talk so much bad stuff about shahid and aishwarya and never praise them. Im surprised she praises them!!

How I wish Ash could've done this film so it would be SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!

Mystic Rose's picture

@Voiceswriters, while I agree with the fact that both Kareena and Aishwarya belong to the same generation, I don't agree with the 20-year gap reasoning bit. Sridevi and Kareena belong to different generations and they have a less than 20-year age gap (16 years) and thats because they belong to two different eras in cinema. Aishwarya and Kareena not only have a 7-year age gap but they also starred in most of the movies in their careers during the 2000s; they belong to the same era/decade in Hindi Cinema.

Aishwariya can never call any other actress wonderful or iconic .. She is just too arrogant to do that!

monica34's picture

:) hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Anonymous's picture

You are so correct Voiceswriter, I don't get it why people try to insist on making Aish older than her co actresses of the same generation.

Anonymous's picture

KK is almost 32, AR is almost 39 - how is 7 years a generation gap? she is made sure to throw in a dig there with her "compliment". like how when sonam kapoor referred to her as aunty and pretended it was out of respect

Anonymous's picture

Ash > Kareena

Voiceswriter's picture

Kareena is a part of Aishwarya's generation, generally there would have to be a gap of 20 years (or double the age) between them before they can be considered two different generations. Aishwarya cannot play Kareena's mother unless she is aged and audience suspends their disbelief. Kareena is turning 32 this year and Aishwarya is turning 39, only seven years between them. They are part of the same generation and same era of Bollywood whether Kareena likes it or not.

Example:
Rekha(58)>Aishwarya(38) = different generations
Madhuri(46) >Anushka Sharma(23) = different generations
Katrina(28)> Aanchal Munjal(14) = different generations

You will understand better when Kareena is 62 and Aishwarya is 69 and they're both senior citizens.

Anonymous's picture

Ok so lets see an almost 32 years old Kareena is from a different generation than a 38 years old Aishwarya??? A difference of 6 years makes 2 people from different generations??? Heroine Kareena certainly needs some serious math lessons!!!

Anonymous's picture

KAREENA I LOVE YOU!

Anonymous's picture

Of course she is nervous because its one of her big films!

Anonymous's picture

Aish has been in the industry much longer then Kareena said thats why she prolly said that diff generation. Infact Aish was the one who gave a Best debut Award to kareena at iffa. Y do people say she is making a dig when she is complimenting. Everyone has to twist her words and make it a controversy. Aish is almost 10 years older then Kareena!

Anonymous's picture

Good answer by Kareena

Anonymous's picture

im happy for her and everything but whenever i see heroine trailers i just think what if aish did this and honeslty if aish did this movie, it would have been beyond amazing to watch i would loveeeeeee to see her do this.

Anonymous's picture

i don't think being 6 or 7 years apart in age makes you two different generations. she can't even pay someone a compliment without some sort of sneaky dig. and why can't she stand still? she seems nervous...like she has something to hide?

Anonymous's picture

Expressions are so weird and face seems so tired....
