From Puducherry, formerly known as Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu.
Her parents are French and made Puducherry their home as they fell in love with the place. Kalki was born and raised there. Her first language was Tamil, followed by English. French came naturally as her parents are French. Hindi came by due to movies but she is still learning the ropes.
