Bhansali’s Kapoor dreams go kaput!!
According to the recent reports Kareena Kapoor is not doing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela in which she was paired with Ranveer Singh. Ironically, she is the second member of the Kapoor khandan to walk out of the film after Ranbir Kapoor. A source close to the director reveals, “Not many people know that Ranbir Kapoor was Bhansali’s first choice for the male lead. He had approached him initially to do the film but Ranbir cited the date problems and excused himself. That is when Bhansali decided to cast his first cousin, Kareena Kapoor. He felt if not the Kapoor lad, he could at least rope in the Kapoor girl in the film. He very strongly wanted one of them to be part of the film since both are a right combination of huge stars, immense talent and charming looks. But as luck would have it, he had fallout with her too.” Bebo is no more part of the film and now Priyanka Chopra will be essaying the role. The source says the fallout has nothing to with Kareena and Saif’s much awaited wedding.The real reason is moolah. “Bhansali had originally taken hundred dates of Bebo for the shoot but he recently told her that he would require 40 more days ofher. When Bebo’s manager asked him about the remuneration for the extra days Bhansali’s team said she won’t be paid anything else besides what was decided in the beginning. This didn’t go down well with Bebo. She felt it was unfair of Bhansali to increase the days of shooting without paying her anything extra for it. So she decided to opt out of the film.” It’s a double whammy for Bhansali who has lost a chance of working with the two most sought after Kapoor scions. However, we wish that SLB still manages to create magic with his Ram Leela.

I think bebo should understand she cant do all the movies at one time though she is hugely in demand. I consider her very smart women who should set priorities right because the way she is walking out from so many movies recently with huge banner, it will subotage her image.
From this movie I have no expectation.

oh please! stop twisting facts bebo wedding news were out in January and again in June so SLB must know already that she was getting marry, the fact kareena walked out is he was expecting her to work on his discount rates which most will accept but not our bebo she doesn't compromise when it comes to money.
Stop blaming SLB! He worked with married Aish in Guzaarish and with married AND pregnant Mads in Devdas!! So he has nothing against married actresses. It's probably Kareena acting pricey like she did with KJo. Bhansali should cast Sonakshi with Ranveer. She would be great in this role.

SLB already knew that bebo was going to marry soon when he offered her movie, the reason kareena walked out is that she doesn't want to spend half of her year on this crappy musical for less money while she can do 3 better movies for better money in the same time span. that is the smart move of kareena she has passed the stage where actresses have to just dance around tree she is well established actress who wants to do serious roles.

Kareem's was given a boot by bhansali because a juliet can not be a married woman and she was not honest to the director about her wedding date and so on. Bhansali said if pregnant aishwarya can't be heroine so as married kareena can't be Juliet. Kareena pr team made excuses saying about extra forty days the director wanted. There are not paid per day.

Devdas something happened and now Ram Leela excuse is lame....someone been married does not affect a film. Narrow minded director hate him now!!! Kareena will work more harder and I hope she ignores Sanjay and cuts Priyanka off for good!! If Priyanka steps in she is greedy...this was Kareenas project!

i have a lot of respect for slb as a director, bt i cant fathom his reasoning for dropping bebo from the movie. if their's one reason why majority of the actress dont get work after marriage, its this ancient stereotypical thinking. i'm glad bebo isnt acting in this movie. i just hope kareena continues to work even more harder after marriage and leads way to other actresses just like ash.

What an excuse,Leela is only a character, how it is related with someone else personal life..eventhough she might get married but at least she is not a preggy like Ash aunty. Lol
Well there are some reasons surfacing as well. The fact that SLB didn't want a married actress to play an unmarried Leela (juliet). I think it could be a combination of these reasons that she left/got dropped off the film.
40 days of unpaid work? I would walk out of the film too, assuming all this is indeed true.

Kareena is the first bollywood actress to demand and get her market price without the fear of losing projects. Like for 'Heroine' she got 8 crores+profit share while Ashwarya was getting nothing for the same film, till it was a hit. Actresses are scared to ask for a price on par with Heros, because they fear losing projects. If the director refuses to pay she will not be part of the project. Bebo is definetly changing the way bollywood treats heroines.
I think there is more to this. I think Ranbir opted out of this movie, because the script might not have been good. Maybe Kareena had doubts. Typical that desperate PC is lurking around, always ready to eat up Kareena's leftovers.

priyanka and ranveer .. not a good pairing. she looks older then shahid and ranveer and ranbir. but priyanka is way much better then sonam. sonam cant act and priyanka adds a little too much to her acting and makes her entire act and over-act. anushka will be the perfect choice. she can act dance and look good all at the same time. she has a good chemistry with ranveer as well. they look so perfectly perfect together. ANUSHKA and RANVEER !!!
cant blame kareena because she is totally right....guess in that 40 days she can do 3 quarter of another film......n yaah giving too much date for a boring love story of sanjay leela bhashali is quite a big risk...thanks god she opt out..
I would prefer to see Kareena in 3 good movies instead of 1 stupid,arty,boring,over the top SLB movie! I have not even seen his last 2 movies...they looked plain boring!
Bhansali should stick to producing...
Kareena's bollywood career is over.
