Guys, Kareena has been gaining weight because the role demanded her to do so. So it's a process of gaining weight. Kareena looks the best in her Jab We Met and Kambakht Ishq physique but Madhur Bhandarkar wanted her to look chubby for this film. I believe she also gets pregnant in the film.

probably more than half of the people who comment harshly on celebs are obese, plump, and have their flaws. I for on am not perfect nor wish to be. Being healthy is better than having super toned arms. Kareena is healthy, she looks it unlike others. And Ash well she's been gaining since marriage which is not wrong and after birth she looks more than plump but thats her decision. Not yours to decide. Comment on the over look or need of the picture not the physical beauty u lack to see.
people calling her chubby are insane, first of all she is not chubby, than her role requires a curvy woman after all she is playing a role of typical bollywood heroine not a runway model since most of bollywood heroines always been curvy look at the top heroines in the history of bollywood from Sri, Hima, Madhuri, Kajal, Aish, Rani etc all are curvy women not skiny minies some people say that heroine is based on Mudubala's life who was also a curvy woman.
I am sure kareen will trim herself if it was requirement of role like she did for tashan.
kareena is fat there
her arms are so unattractive! i watched EMAET, and frankly she looked absolutely horrible. she has always been on the chubby side, but was proportionate and attractive before she lost all that weight for tashan. she carried off size 0 quite well too, although she practically had a flat chest...her arms and legs looked amazing. but after tashan, she's putting on weight in a weird way. its like losing that much weight affected her fat distribution somehow, and it just doesn't look right any more. kareena is not going to age well, that's for sure.
let the time decide whether the role wanted her to be
chubby or slim let the movie release before making an assumption

Some people here are effing idiots. For God's sake she is not AGING! I mean technically, yes, she is aging just like we all are but she is not old OLD. She is in her early 30s and has really curves. People need to look past physical aspects if they want to watch quality cinema or you are most welcome to watch an F grade movie (if there is such thing) like Housefull 2 any day!

Anon, if girls will always have that "ex-fat girl look", then how come Kareena was able to change that in Tashan when her size 0 phase was going on. She looked extremely thin throughout. So she IS capable of having toned arms.
We need to stop lamenting Ash's absence from Heroine. It's old story now. Many roles go to different people and end up with a different one. To go back in the past for this is useless. Maybe Ash would have been outstanding too, but what's the use discussing this now. It's not going to change anything.
Honestly, Kareena's arms are a bit of a turn-off but we only have looks to go by now. Once we watch the movie, am sure her acting will outshine everything.

theres her real arms. chicks who are normbally chubby like kareena, zarina khan, sonakshi, will always have that " ex fat girl" looks such as flabby arms, big hips, their the types that need to hit the gym regularly, their not natrually thin or athletic like anushka, bipasha, deepika, katrina, etc. Im not a hater all actresses are pretty in their own way, but these days more emphasis is placed on beauty than acting, as bollywood gives everyone a chance, u dont need to know hindi, ud ont need to be indian, and heck u can even be a porn star, with that being said, u shud put ur best body and face forward, there shouldn tbe any excuse if u dont have kids or a family, and your still young, cus after 40+it goes downhill!

The timing is really unfortunate, I'm not saying Kareena wont do a good job but I feel like Aishwarya would have been amazing for this, this role could have been her major career defining role before she went on maternity leave, it would have been a better decision than say action replay or robot, shame Madhur didn't start the project earlier when Aish was still looking amazing.
