Move aside the Queen is HERE!
Karishma 'VERSATILE' Kapoor
Lets forget the fact that she is jaw dropping HOT, lets not care about the fact that she redefined fashion in bollywood in the late 90s and lets also forget that she is the true blue eyed KAPOOR girl. But can we forget her acting legacy so far....
There have been very very very few actresses who have successfully danced with Akshay and Govinda and given hits like Raja Babu, Hero No. 1, Coolie No.1 and at the same time given power packed performances such as Jeet (showed she could act, dance and emote), Raja Hindustani ( stole the scene from Aamir), Dil to Pagal Hai (completely overshadowed the aging Madhuri and SRK, won a National award), Jaanwar (her innocence and beauty saved the movie), Fiza (stood tall to Hrithik's popularity then), Biwi No. 1 (Salu and Sush didnt stand a chance), Hum Saath Saath Hai (she definitely made a better pair with Saif) , Zubeidaa (Rekha who????), Shakti (shocked audiences with her sheer screen power and jaw dropping action packed scenes - completely shadowing Nana Patekar, really wish people talk more about this movie) and Mere Jeevan Saati (cmon...need I say that the last song in the movie gave everyone goosebumps). She is one of the few actors who can take a script to the next level.
But my real question is that....
Sometimes....I wonder why she wasn't as successful as a Kajol? Kareena or even a Aishwarya? When she has the capability to act, dance and look better than both? Maybe she wasn't as outgoing as them? Or just bad timing. She was known to be very hardworking and an introvert. Maybe you need to be a loudmouth like Kareena and Kajol to be taken to the next level?
