wow... he said kareena is the "power house of talent" but he didnt say it for aishwarya... before this when Karan Johar asked him on Koffe with karan who is more talented Rani or aishwarya,Bhansali without any hesitation named Rani,it means that he is an honest person not afraid or impressed of aishwarya, he works with him mainly because he has a good relationship with him...I am glad that he is moving out of his comfort zone.

So now you are comparing guest appearances/ and items songs to lead roles? Her roles in Mohabattein/Khaki were small, but they were guest appearances, not lead roles. And guest roles are supposed to be small. Kareena/Katrina have lead roles which are small/ not central to the storyline (take Ra-one/ TMK/ 3 idiots/ Golmaal/ NewYork/ Rajneeti/Welcome/ZNMD) . Also, Aishwarya's guest role is Mohabattein was more impacting/central to the story compared to the lead roles of 3 other heroines in it. Same with Khaki , that was a surprise negative role and audience got to see Aishwarya in a grey role for the first time and that why she accepted it, and got accolades for her performance in both of these movies. The songs : Hamko hami se chura lo and Mehbooba from these movies gave her fame. Also, Kajrare has been the best item song so far, it added another feather to her cap /had immense popularity countrywide. Even a huge amount of money which Bunty babli made was because of the popularity of Kajrare and of course Aishwarya
However, the stupid role of jwala in Mangal Pandey(which Aamir gave to her), was totally insignificant/ panned by critics/ had no depth. Also, he wasn't ready to pay Aishwarya her normal fees for a movie? So why should she do it?Just to please his ego? Aamir , himself charges 40 crores to when acting with other producers/and then expects others actors to agree to do movies for peanuts for him.
Manfredi, the author of The Last Legion said that the character that Aishwarya Rai played in the movie was completely different from what it was in the book. “My character of the leading lady was totally different. She was from a village but Aishwarya was totally different. She was the lover of the protagonist…but she acted as if the film was for kids.
The most wooden acting in the film belongs to Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She looks gorgeous, but her expression rarely changes.

aish cant even control the pitch of her voice let alone acting, her voice is so high pitched and annoying a good actor can modify his/her voice according to character but aish can't do that, Kareena is a good actress and can control her voice pitch perfectly while aish sound same in all of her movies, her roles also are similar in every movie from HDCS to her last movies she played the role of same setti type Indian women, she have same expression of her googly over expanding eye balls in every movies. she is not even a mediocre actress but way below average.
Apart from that, in most of her hollywood movies, + Indian movies, she only has been the lead character or has had a equivalent role to the hero. Many of her movies have been women centric. Be it Taal, HDDCS, Choker Bali, provoked, Bride and Prejudice, Mistress of spices, raincoat, jodha akbar, devdaas, raavan, Umraao Jaan. Unlike other heroines, who although have 100K + movies, but have no impact, and are eye candy/side kick to the hero

she has rejected many firangi's : will smith and brad pitt(troy). She is not like Anil kapoor who will agree to play a stupid , 2 minute role in hollywood movie , get slapped by the leading character and make a mockery of herself.
In pink panther, her role was small, but she was the main villain(so that was a central role and a different experiment for her) .

Kareena is definitely a better actress than Ash, granted KK wasnt much of an actress in her early years but she has grown a an actress, something Ash hasn't

Though I am not a big fan of her as a person, Aishwarya is definitely a good actress though not great. Her body of work is just great and she has acted in a lot of award/acclaim winning movies. She has even been praised in critically trashed movies like Action Replayy and Umrao Jann. That does say a lot about her credibility as an actor.
Kareena is ok. I was never that impressed by her histrionics. She tends to overact and be loud in every movie of hers. I would choose Ash over her anyday.

Really?? Kareena's role in 3 idiots or Rani's role in Ghulam was not just a flash in the pan roles. Ash's role in PP2 was something like that. I don't think Amir marginalises women. Ash fans will say anything to defend her poor acting skills.

Aish is a wonderful dancer. But her "acting talent" is limited to crying on cue and exaggerated facial expressions. Even in the non-Indian films she's done, she's just played an Indian woman stereotypical character for the most part or the pretty girl with no substance. In Mistress of Spices and B&P, she was not too different than the characters she'd played in Bollywood movies. In PP2 and the Last Legion, her origin was ambigious, but still the characters didn't have any depth. In PP2, she was merely an author who was in the movie to look pretty and try and get to Steve Martin. The Last Legion required more physical stamina than emotional depth. Her movies, Indian and international - have been panned by critics and not done commercially well. In terms of talent, Rani, Madhuri and Kajol have it in spades, way beyond her!
And she could never compete with the likes of Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, or other Hollywood contemporaries that have performed better.
She's capitalized on her green eyes (rumored to be contacts), bleached complexion, dyed hair, endorsements, and appearances. She doesn't have talent - what she has is effective PR and a manufactured look that India tends to favor.

@Oxygen!SLB always wanted to work with her and her wanted Kareena for Davedas, but that times she was shooting KKK, and Davedas was hit because of SRK and Mahduri, aish's expressions were so blank in Davedas, all she done was cry. even when if aish wasn't on break SLB will never cast her again, she has only given flops in last 5 years. she is expired and will never get work again.
