I agree with you! Well said. It's sad when you hear that about anyone who bases beauty on lighter skin vs darker skin. There is beauty everywhere. And it's extremely offensive to hear that the average indian is not good looking. Just because on the face of it, you see alot of dark indians does not mean the entire country is filled with dark people. Also, just because somebody is dark, does not mean they are not beautiful. To be honest, kareena is a very fair skinned woman but her features are terrible.
Karisma is truly inspiration for so many millions of teens and young mother today.

i think being called a pakistani here is a compliment, shes suppose to be relatable to the average pakistani woman for them to buy these clothes. And indians on pinkvilla keep on writing essays on how katrina looks indian/doesn't look indian/is indian enough/is not indian enough for them so doing that with karishma is fair game.

i feel so sad hearing this stereotype "pak girls are prettier cuz they r fair" please guys. my grandparents from both sides migrated to karachi during the partition. and they are from nagpur & madras. my grandmother was verrrryyy dark skinned and there are alot of dark people in my family as well as in karachi. my sister is dark but beautiful but becuz of her dark skin she is automatically considered not beautiful by her own community. its so sad. and since i am more fair but i have fucked up features i'm automatically more beautiful. its just SO freaking sad. and then sum even more messed up pak people say that lahoris are prettier/more fair and karachiites (where most of the muhajir pple settled in) are dark. i've heard these opinions from pak pple living in canada and this boils my blood. lets fix these essentially racist probs in our own community. before we point fingers at others. u all sicken me!

I am a pakistani and I think i agree with the poster. I don't think there is much that is muslim about pakistan to be honest. It's just a muslim country by name. Anyhow, let's stick to the topic... fashion.
For example, kareena and karisma have pathan blood. The kapoor family are hindu pathans from peshawar so their looks are pathan hence their skin color is much fairer your average south indian.

That judgement is based on the skin colour. If you go north in india, you'd probably say people are good looking because they are fair. South they are darker but nonetheless beauty is not based on the color of skin. If that were so, the modelling world would only consist of light skinned people. It is all about features. One would say kareena is good looking because she is fair. But her features are not so. There are beautiful women everywhere. Every country has beautiful people and not so beautiful. You are basing the pakistani vs indian beauty on the fact that india has a south india which makes up part of the population. However, if your basing beauty on skin color, do remember that india has punjab, himachal pradesh, jammu and kashmir, uttar pradesh.
Among the neighboring countries of Pakistan on average Pakistani women are easily more good looking than Indian Women and easily less good looking than Afghani and Irani Women.By meeting the people of different nations that's what I've seen so far :)
