Is this Kareena's Downfall?
Kareena Kapoor, the apparent self procalimed No.1 actress of Bollywood,is not doing too great career-wise. Besides Endorsements, affair with Saif, and making bizzare statements about other stars every few weeks, she has not done anything noteworthy Her last Big hit, award winning & critical film, was Jab We Met. That was way back in 2007. After that, she had the MegaFlop Tashan, Golmaal Returns in which she had a small role and the film was panned by critics and even a section of the audience. I also thought it was just loud and not funny. Then came Roadside Romeo. Mega Flop. Apparently, even Kambhakt Ishq is not considred an out right Super Hit. And the Critics panned that film too. Now Main Aur Mrs. Khanna has opened up to below average and the audiences as well as the critics have not really liked the film to much. Her perfromances got mixed Reviews for all these film after Jab We Met. She needs an outright super hit that will win or atleast be nominated for awards as well as critical acclaim to continue to hold on this tag of No.1 herione. Kurbaan with Saif- About Terrorism (not a popular genre among audiences) plus with New york and MNIK, this terrorism drama doesn't have blockbuster written on it. But you never know for sure. It is a Karan Johar Production. Stepmom Remake- No big lead hero, And Kajol is most likely going to steal the show because well it is KAJOL. Hopefully, 3 Idiots with Aamir will bring her back to the Top. Her sister Karishma gave dozens of hits in the few years that she was ruling as the No. 1 Herione. Kareena can perhaps never say the same. Do you think this is the Beginining Of Kareena's Downfall?

Its nt about hit and flop.. she is good actress its all that matters thats why she is in no-1 list..u can see katrina dont know the meaning of act still she has given so many hits..think..

LOL, after this statement she gave 2 blockbuster, still is no:1 actrese and no:1 in powerlist! so i think all statements was making hater happy and fans more keen in2 her career we dont want to let bebo go shes the most entertaining person I KNOW~!
I like her looks and makeup but ALWAYS ALWAYS her hair is the same style its same from 2000! shish has she ever been to a hair saloon? ( i dont think so )
who cares abt their personal life, with the wedding or whatever.. Kareena was good in kurbaan, the movie did well, and 3 idiots.. well, what more to say than she was excellent and usufficient in the movie as well as the movie doing great.. stop with this, better than katrina, or should I say miss look at my face, not my acting..
We all know getting married in Hollywood or Bollywood more often signals the end of your career- so while it makes sense they will have a wild huge wedding when they get married- if they are not willing to risk a stalled career- they will not do it now. So I agree they are clearly wearing wedding rings and will later have a very public announcement and large wedding.why not have your cake and eat it too? Looks like they are doing just that.
Aishwarya is the no. 1 actress . Her upcoming films in 2010 are fabulous . Raavan ( Hit ) , Guzaarish ( Hit / Super Hit) , Action Replay ( Super Hit / Blockbuster) , Robot ( Blockbuster) .
I also thought that in Kaminey PC played herself..LOL
i dont like PC, but shes is good at acting certain movies

Just One SuperHit Jab We Met cannot make her rule for her entire career.

The only movie where PC truly acted was Kaminey. Even Fashion she was not great since you felt nothing for her character and she played herself. The other movies on your list are ridiculous in terms of acting. PC is currently the most overrated actress in the industry.

I SO agree with you...Not a Kareena fan but she is a better actress than Priyanka..Everyone knows that.
I dont think this is her Downfall because for me she has never been on the top and actually no one is on the top..The top changes everyday.
I agree with the anonymous below that PC is the most overrated actress in the industry and she only did well in one movie. I am a BIG FAN OF KAREENA. I think she is a great actress. prove is Omkara, Jab We Met, Chameli, Yuva. Even roles that aren't that great like POO in K3g, she is still memorable. Can't say the same for PC. She was never memorable in any role for me. Even in WYR, she was not memorable. She didn't do justice to the role for me.
can you really count the number of hits kareena has given apart from JWM??? i cant! she has never chosen good films or gotten roles that can establish her as an actress. she is all glamour.

The most consistent and versatile recently has been Aishwarya - Provoked, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar and Sarkar Raj. She has actually matured into a good actress and has an impressive line up of movies forthcoming.
I would love to see more of Tabu but apparently she is not getting offers which is too bad since we instead get the Katrina types. Vidya also has an interesting line up of movies upcoming.
She is where she is because of the Kapoor name otherwise a useless actress. Right now the only true actress is PC with Fashion, Kaminey, Dostana, Aitraaz, Mujhse, Don she has proved her acting Chops. If she was in the Kapoor family she would of been declared as the queen long time ago. Since she does not come from the Kapoor or Bachchan khandaan, she will continue to fight it out.

No, she is never going to have a downfall. I agree with the comment that one of the person said that she is so enjoyable to watch on screen because she is a great actress and has good looks. I can't say that about PC, Deepika, Katrina (well she has the looks but no acting skills, but not enjoyable to watch on screen). Kareena will always be no. 1.
