Yash Chopra to direct last-ever song
Hindustan Times reports, The unit of Jab Tak Hai Jaan will soon head to Switzerland to shoot the only remaining song — a romantic number with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif — with Chopra behind the camera. Says a source from the film’s set, “Adi (Aditya Chopra), who is an assistant director on the film, along with the other ADs, came up with the idea of making the last shot magnificent. To make it stand out, they’ve decided to use multiple cameras and shoot from various angles, giving it a multi-dimensional feel. Yashji is a living legend, and obviously, his last shot has to be a huge moment.” Katrina, who is in Chicago, USA, isn’t aware of the development yet, but she says whatever the plans are, she is lucky and privileged to be part of the film. Son Adi, however, will give this special trip a miss due to other commitments in Mumbai. “It’s a special moment for the unit. We’re planning to shoot it in a grand way to be able to freeze that moment for posterity,” says the spokesperson of JTHJ. This is truly sad! I wonder how Yashji will feel directing the song.I hope it turns out to be iconic.

Shahrukh's films do not need hyping. Admit it all these people that are all whinging about the music, Kat's expressions, shahrukh looking old. They will be there first day first show. I notice that you are also adding to the "hype" by coming and commenting on this post. See you at the movies!

It doesnt matter who's the first or second..( companies hire a host of celebs thru the ages...eg ash was not the first to endorse Lux, there were several before her and kat is not going to be the last,there'll be several after) what matters is everyone knows kat is the face of barbie but not many know about ash's doll ....I stay in Surrey(thats in England in case u didnt know) and I never heard of the Ash barbie...but even if we assume what u say was true, her doll definately WAS NOT a raging succes..ha ha ...

Kat gave hit movies, i agree. But her career accomplishments will never match upto what Ash has accomplished.
Its clear that Ash is much better actress than Kat is anyday, even Sonam is a better actress than Kat. So dont talk about the acting skills.
Its the achievement. Ash has an international appeal, whereas Kat has a big appeal in India just because of her "fair" skin.
Why is anushka not included?? How sad...Anushka is the young face of yrf...She made YRF again appealing to the youth!

Yash Chopra's directorials are known for their quality and brilliant artistes. I don't understand how katrina fits in this picture, she's quite possibly the least qualified out of all mainstream actresses today. Katrina is the biggest thing right now because of her fair skin and India's fascination with firangis, which I hope will die out soon. One thing is for sure, this movie is going to miss a special Indian element which is a must in yashji's films. Its becoming harder and harder to find in all movies.

ofcourse kat was the first who was SIGNED as the brand ambassedor BUT SECOND who was made into a barbie doll.
and this year only (i mean in 2012) a barbie doll range was introduced INSPIRED by her jodhaa-akhbar look.

thank god aditya won't be there to ruin it. this will probably be the only part of the film that yashji actually directed himself. the rest has "aditya chopra" written all over it.
