konkona is a decent actress
konkona is a decent actress but i agree with anon here.she is really over-rated and again good observation about her choice of roles.konkona is simply ugly. And i am really sad to know that a girl next door must look ugly(voice dripping with sarcasm here). i think India has more mads/sridevis as girls next door than it has konkonas. India we musn't forget is a land of beautiful ladies.

Well Ms/Mr Anon below---konkana sen has very very earthy/indian looks..she looks stunning as a simple indian lady...n I will never get tired of her roles m pretty sure..is she choses to do glam roles...i wud b xcited to watch those movies...but then again...n according to me...konkana fits the bill of a simple indian woman...to me she more like a welcome break n a more believable girl-nxt-door than the Mads/Rani/Sridevi/Tabu...who r breathtakingly glam...the only ladies imho r best in deglam roles r tabu/sri...rest look fake n try too hard...its my 2 cents....n ur welcome to keep ur opinions to urself...m not trying to run-over urs either!

gudgal..thats a pretty useless observation. Madhuri Dixit/Rani Mukherjee/Tabu/Sridevi/Rekha/Smita Patil all of them are known for their ACTING and not for the KIND OF FILMS they do. What i am trying to say is that you needn't go deglam and portray heavy/insane/esoteric characters to prove your worth. the best example i can think of right now is Priyanka Chopra who proved the same through movies like FASHION/KAMINEY.WYR!! And these so called off beat films are photocopies of each other in a sense..they primarily revolve around the sexual encounters of the protogonits or some sexual trauma they go through. For instance Konkona Sen Sharma has been stuck with GAYS/ or is a rape victim/ or a person with extreme sexual desires in all her movie..lol..thats not VERSATALITY for heaven's sake!!! Mainstram commercial cinema can be in more than one way more meaningful than these kinda cinema..for example DCH/RDB/CDI/DilSe/Guru...Konkona is certainly one of the MOST OVER-RATED actors of our times. I think Kangana/Priyanka/Rani and even Asin are more talented.Just my opinion.

She is a zillion times better than all those annoying females who think they r "actresses" but r infact insanely over-priced silver-screen bimbos catering to stupid-class audience high on skin show n 0 talent!
