I'll be honest with you. Madhuri was & is my favourite actor,I've nearly watched all her films. She's gorgeous & lovely,has a 100watt smile,can become the character & emote splendidly & s just the best dancer in the whole wide world. But after I saw some of the anti-Madhuri comments on PV saying that she's not a great actor,more known for her dancing,Sridevi is a much better actress,blah,blah,blah! Then I decided to watch a few Sridevi films & see whether this is true cause I'd not seen any of Sri's films though I found her beautiful & a great dancer. I watched Sadma on youtube that day & let me tell you I was absolutely in awe of Sridevi. The way she played a 6 year old girl & then a grown up woman was heartbreaking,her eyes spoke volumes,truly she was splendid. No other actress before had this sort of effect on me for the first except Meryl Streep,& I became a massive fan of Sridevi. Then I watched Chaalbaaz & of course Mr.India & Chandni & I can confidently say that she's the best actress & most versatile actress ever next to Streep.

Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Nargis, Hema Malini, Rekha, Sridevi, Kajol, Madhuri, Rani Mukherji are all the best... madhuri has immense potential, but to date no actor has done justice to her acting abilities, sridevi, who was a very good actress did more adventerous roles and has a lot of versatile characters to her credit, if madhuri had done the same she would be able to prove her skills to her critics. sadly she opted for a lot of commercial/romance type roles which limited her exposure to different characters and roles. films like mrityudand, anjaam, lajja and devdas showcase her versatility, but she needs to do much more.

Madhuri, Sridevi, Rekha, Rani Mukherji, Juhi, Kajol and Hema are my all time favourites..... but i think madhuri and sridevi were the complete package, dance wise madhuri has the edge over all the other actresses, so overall i would go for madhuri

What nonsense someone is giving his/her openion about madhuri that she can not act...whats a rubbish? she is best known for her great acting skill not her dance to me madhuri is many dimensional actress.She can act any kind of movies artfilm(Mrityodand,sangeet and lajja),comedy(rajja and khell),love(Sajaan) or voilence(khalnayak and thanedaar),romance(dil tu pagal hai and devdas),mystery(100 days),drama(hum app ki hain koun),crime(khalnayak),detectivestory(Phool),gangster(khalnayak),action(prem dewane),political(pukaar and wajood),musical(ajja nachle),documantary(Gaga gamini) and dance.She does it all with out the best directors in her side. Only stupid person who have no recognition of art can deny above lines fact.

sridevi is an complete actress comedy ,emotion blended in one actress she is extremely good in both ..i cant think of madhuri doing comedy like her or madhubala doing comedy like her

I can only cringe when I see the lack of depth in Kareena's eyes during speech. Her "acting" is that of character acting (i.e the young modern 2000s girl having busty thighs,). Her expressions always looks pathetic. Katrina is nothing more a soft and beautiful face...Ashwariya was just international icon in term of beauty...kajol just dependent actress..rani mukherjee exceptional actress but not beautiful and good dancer.

Anyway, all these bollywood actresses nowaydays are copies and wannabees of the Rekha, Hema Malini, Madhuri and Sridevi. They invented nothing, they come and disappear without a trace. Bollywood = boringwood, the real creativity is in regional cinema....Not now a days actress

We can only categorise these actors into classes but getting the best ever is always subjective. Hence by above criteria both sridevi and madhuri belongs to the upper class
