I think married Bollywood actresses are a huge hit for selling household items. Karishma, Kajol, Madhuri , Juhi all are endorsing household products. Aishwarya doesnt join this list though.
Funny thing. Madhuri is really pretty but her voice sounds like an old grandmas now.

Neither do Karishma, Kajol, Madhuri, Juhi endorse high-end A-grade international brands like L'Oreal, Longines and Lux.
Another difference is all of them are mothers and Ash still has to be a mother first.
Btw, they sell household products because no one offers them big A-list products. Otherwise nobody would be selling them. Get real.

I love her. People should really stop hating on her. She's done her part of the deed in bollywood for 25 years, now she's a mother and a wife. She's still very beautiful and elegant. It's absolutely okay for her to do ads like these. She will always be my favorite.

gee, way to play into gender stereotypes. Like what else do married women care about other than fabric softeners and rice.
Just listening to her voice makes me smile! No actress can ever be like Madhuri.

the makeup job on Mad is just horrendous! they, as usual, are trying to whiten her (and everyone in India) with foundation! sad! otherwise, liking the ad.
as for Ash not being in this list: she is not as old as the other actresses and most importantly SHE IS NOT A MOTHER! Smitag, you really need to get a life outside of trying to promote the useless Aishwarya.
Seen it before, thought it was already posted, guess not
She looks so perfect, still the same grace and smile :)
omg,I love the beginning when she does the traits from her character, especially the eyebrow part
shes soo amazing
Aish, well she has not had a child yet, generally people see housewives as mother too,so we have to wait

LOOOOOOOL. you would never see a major celeb in hollywood doing such a cheap commercial. not even at the beginning of their careers!

aishwarya doesn't join this list because she is not a complete woman...she married a man for the sake of her career she dont have kids because it can hurt her career....these are real woman, they married and had kids because they are "women" not only actresses...... dont compare them to ash who isn't even real!!anyway i was just wondering why did you mention ash!!
Fri, 2011-03-25 07:24 — Anonymous
thats cuz all the name you mentioned are mothers! ash is too busy kissing up to hollywood actors and promoting herself. so one all the roles and makeup brands dont come through she gonna have kids and start endorsing rice, flour and cleaning detergents

Because Ash is not a mom yet doesnt convey that mom type feelings like these other actresses do for are moms in real life. After she does become a mom, then for sure she would take a couple to reach the masses.

Does look a lot like her son!

Her acting in this ad is definitely better than the basmati rice one, more relaxed and natural. Maybe she should use her real son in on of these ads, as a keepsake. However anyone can tell this endorsing is a farce as everyone knows she lives in the US and indian detergent brands are not available there.
Is that her real son, don't know but don't think so...

This was cute. I liked her reference to her films.
And housewives care about their houses. How is that a stereotype?
And stop bringing Ash into it. Whether it's to praise her or insult her. She has nothing to do with this.
