Madhuri refuses to be Rajinikanth's mother in his next
Rajinikanth's next after the super blockbuster Endhiran/Robot is Rana where he will play triple roles and will also romance Deepika Padukone. Three of those roles span different generations with Deepika romancing the youngest Rajini. Madhuri was approached to play his mother to the youngest one and a wife to the older one. The Dhak Dhak star said no to the actor who offered him one of the three leads in his upcoming film. Rajinikanth who has acted with Madhuri before in Uttar Dakshin in 1987 was keen to sign Madhuri in the film Rana. But the actress turned down the offer saying she was missing her sons and wanted to fly back to US.

Ok,Madhuri has been in India for a while now I'm sure she was missing her kids way before this film offer came about. Glad she turned it down,personally think it was a bit cheeky for Rajni to expect her to take on this role. Dude needs to retire.

He's crazy .... first he makes himself look late 30's and 40 when in reality he looks like 70 some or whatever his age is .... he gets girls 40 years younger or even younger thn to romance him .... glad Madhuri turned it down. i rather she be picky when/if she chooses films... and i totally understand her desire to ACTUALLY return to her children whom she's missing and vice-versa. normal. she deserves better projects. no offense to Rajni uncle...though i found his offer a tad lame.

Rajinikanth is one of the best stars of the country. Just look at his interviews... the man is amazing. Aishwarya worked with him and cannot stop saying good things about him... Madhuri too would have got the chance.. but she thought acting in a South film would affect her prospects.
Look at Aishwarya.. she worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and English films and that's why she is so popular all over the world but Madhuri is hardly known well in South India but now she lost the golden oppurtunity.
