if you call hamming as acting than siri is better and dont point telgu movies. For entrtainment they are good but when comes close to reality they are 3rd class. A hero hits a villain and villain fly over the train
madhuri simply best.
Siri devi is a good actor but does lots of hamming just like srk. But madhuri acting is natural just like amir khan. And in dancing department madhuri scores over siridevi. So madhuri is the best
At least she did one good thing-paying tribute to evergreen Sridevi who is far better than her.

Sridevi was not Madhuri's contemporary. Jaya Prada was. Madhuri came later on.
Madhuri is an excellent dancer. Only she can do justice to or even come closer to sridevis songs. Both are great actors. Buti like Sridevi more. Sridevis position is way higher than madhuri, juhi and manisha.She isan actor par excellence

The first promo on Meena Kumari is very dissapointing. She is overacting big time. I hope the rest are better.
I like Sridevi and I don't like Madhuri. Simply because Madhuri was always boring, non versatile and use always to choose the same genre of movies specially stupid triangle love stories. Almost every other film of hers is love triangle.
She was never a star to hold a movie herself on her acting capabilities. She just got the attention from her dance numbers and that explains that until date she doesn't have that one strong performance that can be considered her best career performance.
I really wonder what u guys would have commented if some one before this had raised a question of Madhuri giving a tribute to Sridevi.
One more thing to all those guys stuck to only bollywood movies, if you really want to know about Sridevi please go and watch Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies before commenting about her acting talents. Powerhouses like Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, NTR, Krishna, Shobhan Babu, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh who have not only acted in innumerable movies with Sridevi but still hold her with great respect even today says a lot about her. If Sridevi was not a good actress I dont think so the thinking actor Mr Kamal Hassan would have acted with her over 20 movies with all being great success. No issues with you being a fan of other actresses but just dont undermine Sridevi without knowing a thing about her.
Sridevi was the reigning queen in 4 different industries speaking 4 languages. Please show me actress from the film industry ever to have accomplished this feat. Being Indian please learn to give credit to people who have achieved something great like this.

Madhuri better than Sri for serious roles? Maybe you have not seen Sridevi's Sadma yet. No actress can ever match to her performance in that film. But then why compare the two? These two were the only actresses who were stars and also actresses! Stuff of fantasies as well as great performers! Unlike today's unilateral heroines who are either glam dolls or good performers but no glamour!
The era of the female superstar ended with Sridevi and Madhuri. :(

Too much makeup makes her look old.
People i think her cheeks looks the way it does cos of the era she is performing for.. its the hairstyle too. If u look at the Mumtaz song she too had cheeks like that.. I don't think we shud judge based on the pics but wait till the video comes out.
Not to forget she isn't a 20 yr old. However if anyone can do this it is Madhuri
TO those who thought Madhuri can only dance let me correct you, that dance is her forte but that has never taken her acting abilities away from her be it Mrityudand, Lajja, Beta, Anjaam etc. The list would go on.. yes a lot of her movies had her dancing but that is cos she is the best at it. but her movies with dance also had her with great roles besides the one I mentioned above.
Sridevi has been great over the years but she has never surpassed madhuri when it comes to the true indian women, the ethnicity of madhuri can't be compared with anyone.
It is to be seen that after all these years if Madhuri can create magic but that will be known once Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang comes out.. and so will it for Sridevi and Karisma. Having said that Aaja Nachle may have bombed but madhuri's performance was great. A movie doesn't has to be great its the acting. An example- Guzaarish was a crap of a movie but Hrithik's performance was mind blowing.. to which he was awarded.
One needs to remember that pics some are good and some are bad. Lets wait for the promos. Im sure she will create the magic like no diva ever has. And with Saroj khan on the helm of choreography it can never go wrong as the combo has never gone wrong.

Madhuri is Madhuri! Sure Sri-devi too was a good actress. Her comic timing was good (Mr. India et al.) But for more serious roles, Madhuri did a way better job. Not to mention, Madhuri is very lady-like (much more than Sridevi). I don't dislike Sridevi obviously but I highly feel that Madhuri, over-all has been a better actress.

Madhuri giving Sridevi a tribute shows her class. It just shows all she cares about is her performance and not petty politics. She stayed away from it all her career and continues to do so
I doubt any other actress would even venture to dance on her rivals song or pay tribute to her own closest rival

I totally agree but some people are so stupid,full of themselves they are still dissing her.for god sake.the fight should be over now after she is paying tribute to Sridevi...it means that madhuri respect her and admits Sridevi is a legend...but I think Sridevi fans cant digest how classy she is!

I think it's very sweet of Madhuri to do a tribute to Sridevi. It shows her class. Lovely, I'm looking forward to it.
And like someone else on this forum said: Madhuri and Sridevi have both contributed a lot to Indian cinema. Let's respect and love both of them for that instead of constantly pitching them against each other. Heroines of today can not even be mentioned in the same breath as these living legends.

You don't need to be an insider to know saroj khan favored madhuri. Do a search on you tube about saroj khan bad mouthing sridevi . Saroj Khan has a big mouth and please sridevi is a powerhouse of talent. Madhuri was just a good dancer
Lovely!!!!! MD will always be the queen of hearts. And plz strop this Madhuri-Sri fight. Both of them are beautiful women,great actresses,awesome dancers & 1000x better than all the heroines today. Both of them have contributed a lot to Indian films and are the last female superstars. I luv both,so just admire what Mads has done here instead of blasting her.
