VINTAGE: Various magazine covers/clippings/posters of Smita Patil
Hey guys, I've been getting requests to post more vintage pics. I have always really liked Smita Patil. I really admire her work, she was a brilliant actress. So talented. I think there is just something about her that draws you in. Maybe its her extraordinary screen presence. She really proved that she was an actress of amazing caliber. Up Next: Hema Malini.

Ther was something so real about her..so earthy
Yaa do hema one first
Jaldi can't wait for hema's vintage
Was Raj Babbar married or divorced when they got married? Isn't it illegal to get married when youre already married? Since it is, how did Raj marry again?? And then he went back to his old wife after SmitaJi passed away. What kind of a jerk is that man?
She looks so elegant in the second cover..
Raj babbar is an arse
Her movie dard ka rishta was my favorite move as a kid : )
does anyone know what kind of family jaya bachchan came from? like were the bhaduris affluent?artistic?poor?
she carried herself so well.
graceful woman.
Has anyone else noticed that frieda looks like her a little bit? The skin, the jawline...Im not comparing them. I mean smita was a legend according to me, freida is of no comparision..but just lookwise I think they kind of look alike.
omgggggggg THANK YOU for thisss!
She is my most favorite old actress. I really respect her for the kind of roles she did. Such a strong independant woman of substance she was. RIP.
Agreed with what Kitty said. The articles really were very interesting to read. Please post more old articles for the next actor/actress you feature. If possible, cover Madhuri Dixit please! Would love to see her.
she is beautiful, looks like prateik in some pics
Why were Smita and Shabana rivals?
what does her mom mean by 'my daughter is no saint' wish i could see the inside scans of the magazines
her son prateik is an exact replica of her. he looks like her soooo much. Especally his side profile..TOTALLY smita.
Sometimes I wonder how her life would have been had she not been with that Raj Babbar...

Chitrangada Singh reminds me of her a lot. So much resemblance. Same dusky skin, similar features, different look - not the conventional hindi film heroine look."
I was thinking the same. Chitrangada resembles her a lot. They are both extremely beautiful ladies. Love the sharp features and dusky tone. beautiful.
talent and beauty like no other
rip
She reminds me so much of ... myself!! I was always told I look a lot like Smita Patil, and I always dismissed it. But looking at these pictures, I can see the resemblance, particularly the one in which she talks about Shabana '"What has Shabana done in Avataar.." page.
This woman has always mesmerized me. Part of it is the mystery around her life and the tragedy of her early death. But more than that, it is just her brilliant performances. I begun searching her films at a young age, and I have seen most of her work, including obscure films, and she is just fantastic. She also has the most breathtaking physical appearance out of all the famous indian actresses. Her beautiful arms, shoulders, long legs, the lovely cheekbones and those gorgeous eyes! I could go on.. :)
I didn't know Shabana Azmi and her was rivals.
I love her eyes! And keep this up PaniPuri, cause I love your posts!! :))))
Very beautiful. But she was not married to Babbar or dallied with him when he was still married?? For shame for shame.
What's with these actors!
She accomplished so much by such a young age. Very daring to go de-glam in so many of her films, such a talented actress.
Lovely Smita! What magnificently expressive eyes she had. I loved the pics and whatever I could make out from the print articles. They make for an interesting read!
She wasnt pretty
She is unconventional for a B-wood actress, in looks and acting. I think that is why people are drawn to her.
her skin and eyes were so sexy!
I love Smita ! keep posting PaniPuri.....
