My my my, quite dumb now aren't you. Bharath, Aarya, Siddharth, Rana Dagupatti, Allu Arjun, Surya, Vikram, Ram Charan Teja, Pritvirah, Jaya Soorya, Ajmal, Jiva, Simbu, Vaibhav Reddy, Jeyam Ravi, Srikanth and the list is endless.
Actors like Dhanush, Kaarthi, Vishal and the likes may not necessarily be fair skinned (or white in your dumb mind) but they are no short of talent. Dhanush was a powerhouse in a myriad of movies ranging from masala to drama. From Kaadhal Konden to Uthama Puthiran, Puthupetai, Thiruvilayadal Arambam to Uthama Puthiran, Adukalam and Mayakam Enna. Kaarthi was beyond praises in his debut, Paruthiveeran. He was equally outstanding and proved his versatility through movies such as Paiyaa, Siruthai and Naan Mahan Alla. As for Vishal....well watch Avan Ivan and be floored.

To the anon below:- you find this song tacky yet fun. See! It is people like you that drive the market. Choreographers do the obscene , suggestive dance movements for crass people like you. There are songs like this in plenty( choli ke peeche kya he and the likes ) both in north and south movies. and yes! "tacky songs" and "tacky movies" are being remade from south to north and vice versa so tacky people like you could have fun.
i myself am bengali-indian but i have great respect for south indian movies. they are highly intelligent and entertaining. as for the person commenting that we shouldn't differentiate between indians, i disagree.
i live in canada and when people hear that I am indian but i am ethnically bengali they get really interested. i think it's cool that you can be guju-indian, punjabi-indian, tamil-indian etc. what other country can claim such?

To those who say South Indian movies are tacky, loud and stupid.
Are you people forgetting which industry dominates the National Awards? Regional films, mainly from the Malayalam film industry does (Marathi and Bengali as well). Last year's National Awards saw the Tamil film industry sweeping quite a number. That includes Dhanush for Best Actor (Adukalam) and Saranya Mohan for Best Actress (Thenmerku Paravakatu). It's too bad if your experience with South Indian movies are the masala types. And yes, commercial movies from the South delivers great entertainment value and no one cares if the affluent and self appointed intellects find it "tacky, loud and stupid". If it's meant to entertain, it's meant to entertain. That is why you see Salman Khan doing a Dabang, Ready (a remake) and Bodyguard (a remake). That is also why you see Aamir doing a Ghajini and closely following 7am Arivu for a remake in Hindi. Akshay Kumar trying or already nabbed the rights for a remake of KO.
And please, do watch movies like Kannathil Mutthamithal, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Engayum Epothum, Electra, Kutty Srank, Avan Ivan and 9968687567 other South Indian movies. They are not tacky. Can be loud here and there but certainly not stupid. Perhaps the elite KJO or Yash Raj can learn a thing or two from them.
And finally. I love INDIAN MOVIES. I never believe in compartmentalizing the industry especially into Bollywood, Mollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and whatever crap wood. These segmentation does no one any good.

Completely agree!!! It is so immature of people to differentiate among Indians...heck in the end we are all classified as "Indians".Why discriminate against northies and southies? We already have enough of it going around. Just grow up and accept one another as your equal!!
