Turns out one of Bollywood’s most cultured male stars, an actor of impeccable pedigree, made it very clear to the editorial team of a Bollywood film publication that there was no way he’d show up for their awards ceremony if he wasn’t nominated for an award. Problem is, the actor had only been in one film last year, and not only was the film a pretentious and boring flop, but his own performance in it hadn’t exactly won him any raves. Still, the team decided they needed as many stars to attend the show as they possibly could, and apparently decided that giving this gentleman a nomination was a reasonable price to pay for his attendance. As agreed, he made it to the list of nominees. Weeks later, just hours before the big awards show in fact, when representatives from the publication called the star to ensure he was going to turn up and on time, he sprung another unpleasant surprise. He informed them he wasn’t going to attend, as his girlfriend hadn’t been nominated. The lady in question, a major star herself, had been in more than one hit film last year, but nothing that merited an award or so much as a nomination even. The organisers of the show had taken her attendance for granted, as she regularly accompanies her boyfriend to public events. In the end, the actor didn’t show up. Neither did his girlfriend, naturally. The organisers felt like idiots. Not only because he hadn’t kept his end of the deal, but because they’d decided to give him the award too. He was the only significant A-lister in that category, and it made sense to get him up on stage. But by the time he informed them he wasn’t coming, it was too late to pick another winner. They had to settle for a no-show when his name was announced. That, and the criticism for giving an award to an actor whose performance clearly didn’t deserve one.

Saifina are so boring. ever snce he has got involved wth Kareena, his career is going south. I dont know why he is so blinded by her.
Don't believe in any indian awards credibility anymore anyway... I just watch it for performances... And what else did you expect from this overly fake couple anyway?
TRPs....this is what the entertainment world has to bow down to: getting the highest TRPs...there used to be a time when I used to anticipate award shows, but the last few years have been really disappointing..wonder what the future holds for them!

This reflects poorly on Saifeena for sure, but even more poorly on the Star Screen Awards.
Seriously there are toooo many awards functions, we should get rid of most of them, and then the few remaining ones should be revamped to get rid of the corruption and politics. It's really shameful.
Why brninging SRK's name in this!!!! Losers.

lol, so funny that everyne thinks that SRK gives money for awards....the truth is...that hes got the talent and looks and so the awards too....he has more fans than aamir and salman.....if he cud buy the "best actor" award in screen awards he cud have done it....but ranbir got it....so i cant blame ranbir for buying the awards...dont judge people if u really dont know what they do...

Ra.One got technical awards which such movie deserve it if you know what kind of technology they used which are amazing in that aspect. but again it looks that you don't understand any…And about Deepika well the votes went to her and if you were noticing that from the votes link of that show you will understand. Stop the crap if you don't know anything. It's not like Ranbir who took the popular one for Filmfare without even votes as there was no link for that!!
Rajeev has something against agent Vinod (ageing Vinod as he recently highlighted). He needs to get a life...
Kareena recently quoted that her roles are not worthy of being nominated and she is routing for Vidya all the way? So why would they be unhappy if she did not get award?
Amir, Salman and Saif are the ones that show less interest in winning.
Said has always preferred watching tv, reading books, comics, etc more than a night out.

The biggest losers in this situation are the award organisers that they would so gladly sell awards so celebs would attend!!!
Second when star screen happened i dont even think saifeena were in town!! Weren’t they on their holiday??? Kareena did attend apsara & FF where she was not nominated and herself has said she didn’t deserve nominations!!

bollywood , its movies , stars , awards have all gone to the dog recently..give me the 90s anyday..they made some amazing movies then.

My guess exactly Bipasha-Fan, Saif and Kareena. Wow never thought the award shows are corrupted just like the political world in India. I guess with these of culture in Bollywood, there is no chance talented actors, directors, actresses, etc making it big if they have no family connection. Indians down fall going to be Indian themselves, no one else.
