most of the pinkvillans r living out of India so they didnt get the vibe of new age, time is change now, this is the time for Rockstar Ranbir kapoors, who is the power house of talent.

There's one category that Shahrukh can compete with Ranbir neck and neck and no prizes for guessing it's 'The actor with the biggest nose' lol

I love his answer. He is doing his work, let others also just do their work. It's not a racetrack but a creative medium. Shah Rukh is right when he says he didn't have a father to push him and he is also right when he says that he has a body of work of 20 years. Ranbir saying he is competing with Shah Rukh is a little dumb. He is not seeing the bigger picture. He is the one who has a big ego but tries to play it down in his interviews. Shah Rukh has a sense of humour and plays arround with saying that he is the king and stuff, but if you really listen to him, he is here to give something. To reach his goal of having given everything and ruling in that creative bubble that he loves to get lost in.

Shah Rukh is the one who is humble and Ranbir shouldn't be talking so big, but just be honest to his work.

if he thinks his ahead of Aamir and Salman, then he thinks right...wtf is wrong ??? well, truth hurts...

I though his reply was an excellent response. He was not arrogant or self-involved, but merely a very honest answer for someone who has been in the business for 20 years plus. What was great was that he wasn't only saying that he's not competition for the younger and elder generation of actors, he's not even competition for his own son. The fact that he said that actors should be an entity in themselves is refreshing and

For Ranbir to say that he IS competitive with all actors indicates that he has had nearly everything handed to him on a silver platter and is insecure. Of course he wants to be the best, but to be the best is to have some humility. This is why SRK has legions of fans within and outside of India. Ranbir could also one day achieve that type of status, but work for it first and then talk.

God keep blessing u sharukh. When u came, u have no parents to back u. Only god is guiding u. So don't worry about the fans of salman. Our strong prayers will keep hunting they and their star.

Honestly he is the king when it comes to box office collections...but look @ his choice of films over the years...they are all very safe and BO-friendly films...I'd say he is a very effective and smart actor in terms of his choice....he chooses wisely, and the results are there 4 us to see. But really...with the exception of CDI, how many offbeat films has he done? NONE. He milks his good-guy-next-door image to the hilt and I don't blame him. The strategy has worked 4 him for the past 20 years and made him the biggest star. In contrast, Ranbir does very different films and not all of them are BO friendly...therefore, he will never get the BO results SRK gets. I am not a fan of Ranbir and yes, he may never reach the heights of SRK. However, the ROCKSTAR performance was EPIC. A complex, intense character pulled off effortlessly by Ranbir. SRK has not played a role as emotionally complex as Jordan. I am sorry but Raj and Rahul are far from complex. They are regular boy-next-door characters and SRK portrays them with simplicity and charm. That works.

Well said! Actually SRK be very afraid of Priyanka! be very very afraid!

Sharukh is really arrogant. He thinks he is ahead of Aamir, Salman and rest of them. If you listen carefully, he was being really sarcastic. He is getting old and looking beyong 50 years old so, he won't be able to play hero for long. Whereas Salman still looks amazing and Aamir is the god of acting. Ranbir has the look, talent and he is only in his 20's.

very smart answer but he is quite sarcastic .ranbir may be a star son but where he is rite now its coz of his own hardwork and talent

Ranbir has the desire drive and potential to be the next superstar and Srk is wishing him well. The sad part is even when Srk says something nice and sincerely means well...people assume he is incapable of goodness so he has to be sarcastic. I don't think Srk would be sarcastic when he mentions his own son as well. Dilip Kumar showered a glowing tribute to a much junior AB and everyone was touched by his humbleness and greatness.

Haha!!! What an answer. This man is so clever. I respect that.

What a fantastic answer. If just half of the people in this world focusnig on how to improve and be better within themselves and without worring and talking about others we will be in a very creative place. Keep up the good work Shah Rukh. the only Indian actor that I really care about and respect as an actor. Love from Canada.

Hmmm I've often found that people pass off their insecurity or their feeling of being threatened - by calling their perceived source of threat - inexperienced, young, different generation etc. etc. It happens at work all the time...that new, young manager is well - too young, so not a competition. But 5 years down the line that same new manager either has your job or something better!

I see that dubbing competitors with those names is basically about self preservation and it will only be a foolish person who says that and then ignores that competitor - and SRK is definitely not foolish - just very self involved and a tad too under confident - as brash and brazen as he likes to portray himself. I have never heard AB ever say that about the younger actors - he sees everyone as competition and tries to up his game and that is why he is THE superstar of India for so many decades. For me that's confidence - and respecting your competitor - not by saying so and so is no competitor because of such and such reason. But by accepting that in this line, it's your hunger and lookout to be the best that will leave a permanent mark for years to come. SRK certainly behaves as if everyone is his competitor - he's not taking up senior roles - he and a lot of his contemporaries still try to pass off as college students - more like Ranbir's peers. So please don't give us this line about yeh generation, woh generation - sabko aap competition maante ho aur aise hi kaam bhi karte ho - that's the truth.

WOOO HOOO GOO SRK!! What an answer! Slapped Masand right in the face, and impressed him!! Ranbir could never even speak/answer like that. Ranbir's an uneducated good for nothing player!

The strange thing is Ialways thought that Will overcome Shahrukh Khan is hrithik Until he became his friend
to me Shah Rukh Khan has become old ,Ranbir fans young and they are many.

You don't know anything, GET OVER IT.
That's all media hype, PC wont do anything. What's wrong with people like you , can't you be normal fans and not worry about their lives? It's not affecting you... Priyanka's a great, beautiful actress , SRK's the king.

Anonymous's picture

Very true....in real sense he is a self made man...nice answer

Anonymous's picture

Buuuuuuuuuuurn lol Ranbir Really needs a reality check

Anonymous's picture

Convincing!!! He has definitely made a place for himself in B'town. It is quite unfair to compare any two actors for they are different ,in terms of acting ,personality, looks ,number of hits and flops in (Bollywood) and ofcourse a lot of other factors ! Srk Cannot be compared to Amitabh ..for they were born in different times ,they are different generation altogether! no comparisons there ,in terms of acting !! But , on the other side there should be a healthy competition among same generation actors..that cannot be ruled out ..!!Three Khans he just talked about being constantly compared ..is plausible ..I think he does not like it but he's on the same race track as the rest of the khans ...except Saif and fardeen..they belong to lower class actors.

Anonymous's picture

I, I, I, I, me me me me me....its refreshing to see someone so self centred and focused on themselves.

Anonymous's picture

hes so right!!! NO ONE can ever compete with him even if he acknowledges it or not, he is THE ONE AND ONLY SHAHRUKH KHAN!!!!
