Ra.One to release in 2 formats - Bada 'Ra.One' & Chota 'Ra.one'
One film for the masses while other for classes. SRK wants to win the hearts of both masses and classes and children too. Highly placed sources, say SRK will release 'Ra.One' in two formats. One, (Bada 'Ra.One') will be a full length film (160 minutes) which will be in a 2D format while the Second(Chhota 'Ra.One') will be a short version (90 odd minutes) classified without songs and dance and only crispy re-edited film with added action and visual FX sequences in Three Dimension (3D) which is set to entice the young audiences. The post production facility 'Prime Focus' who were working on a 90 second promo of Ra One to convert the film in 3D has successfully done so. Shah Rukh loved the impact so much that he opted to make two versions. The shorter one will be converted in 3D which is said to release a little later after the full length film. "If all goes fine, certain portions of Ra One shall be in 3D," hinted Shah Rukh recently at a media interaction. The 3D version will be released in multiplexes mainly for metro cities and international market along with the IMAX dome format.

dont be stupid, the movie will be in two formats, 2d and 3d, 2d will be normal movie length (160 minutes) and 3d will be 90 minutes without songs and dances. Watching the 3d movie will make sense, the storyline will still be there, nothing will be affected, it will only be shorter, better, more entertaining and more exciting for the youngsters.
besides it is time bollywood movies follows the path of hollywood in terms of technology and special effects and more actions and incorporate the best components of the two to make the best films.
it is important to keep the soul of indian movie still there which it will do that undoubtedly. if you want to watch the whole movie, then just watch the normal one, y complain? the more choices the better....it will rock, so shut up srk haters...

If the dances are provocative then he's doing an awesome thing for children. A shahrukh movie is a family affair and children will inevitably end up watching too. The item numbers from my childhood were hardly skanky but now they're just soft porn so if the parent really cares about what their children watch then this is a great option.

A movie with 1 hour of songs?? That's overkill even for a good masala movie.
Oh that's interesting, I wonder if the chota one (without songs) is actually aimed at kids? Or is it really aimed at an international audience? I guess we'll see!
well this is ridiculous. why CHANGE the product to please both masses and classes? and i how much credibility can i give to film if you can just cut off more then 1 hour. what does that tell me about the movie itself? cut the songs off? the songs are what makes it a Bollywood movie? but i'm sure those stuck up critics will be very pleased, as they would rather praise some hollywood flick then their own movies.
no matter what SRK does, the film will not please the masses. he'll be lucky if it pleases the classes.
RA.ONE WILL RE-DEFINE SCREENPLAY WRITING, ACTION AND VFX IN WORLD CINEMA AND NOT JUST INDIAN CINEMA. I HAVE WORKED ON THE FILM AS AN ACTION ASSISTANTS TO DAVE JUDGE AND THE MOVIE IS GOING TO LEAVE EVERYONE IN SPLITS MAINLY BECAUSE OF IT'S BRILLIANT STORY.
